I think Hawks will lose to Brisbane and GC are actually a chance to lose to Port in Adelaide, but yeah real clutching at straws stuff from here on in, particularly our game. I think we all know where we’re headed.

Technically speaking if Hawthorn win and we draw with Bulldogs then we'd play in an elimination final against Brisbane.

I would back us more playing off a 3 day turnaround on Wednesday then Essendon.
Were not playing finals if we lose on Sunday.
I would probably rather that then a 1 point win for the suns tbh.

What a win and what a result the Port game was.
Crazy to think that if Pies and GWS had lost we’d be sitting 4th. Both games went down to the wire there.
Anyway, we grabbed a home final.

It’s fine. We all go to that dark place at times.
I dreamt of a flag only 2 weeks ago and really thought if we could beat Brisbane and Dogs then we could do anything from inside the top 4.
Now 6th? I still hope to do damage. There’s genuinely not a team I’m worried about playing at home or away.
But I’ll join him in being a realist and winning a flag from here is near impossible.
That said, we did beat the Dogs. In fact we smashed them.
Dare to dream.
Win our home final. Go from there.
What are you talking about? Everyone is wrong at times, I thought we would lose, so did 90% of us, alot more then just me that were wrong. But it doesn't change the fact that we absolutely stunk it up vs Brisbane. A week is a long time in footy though, fingers crossed we bring the same intensity to the first final.

I don't think any one who has been a Freo fan for more than a little while can begrudge someone else some necessary emotional hedging.
I think the Brisbane performance, while very disappointing, wasn't actually that bad in context.
What made it feel so bad was our poor performances when faced with high expectations, over the last few years particularly.
We should have been up to our eyeballs in that game but just couldn't execute our goal kicking or general decisions well.
Hopefully we've learnt from that experience and can win a final or two at least, to progress us towards a proper crack at a premiership.
Having said that, I hope the team are saying why not us and why not now.
