I think Fev is a genuinely nice bloke who just over indulges, and allows his ultra-larrikin side to take over.

For everything he's ever done, the majority of it has been relatively harmless stuff that any normal joe would've done in their lifetime( apart from a few allegations centering around the Brownlow night debacle).

Unfortunately for Brendan though, his latest misdemeanor is just another in a long list of alcohol-fueled mistakes.

I think most of us have done something they regret when we've had a few to many - but this guy just keeps building a list.

He needs to get off the booze.

He'll probably get a club suspension and a fine only.

I doubt he'll get the sack. At least not before Vossy does.

And unfortunately for him, every minor incident he's involved with becomes front page news because it sells.

He does a lot of good work, which goes unmentioned - eg, when he was at Carlton, he would regularly visit sick children in hospital and cheer them up.

I believe he has good intentions - he's a freak of a player - just doesn't think.

IMO, he's played his last game at the top level. Hope I'm wrong.

as i understand it, the lions can't afford to sack him unless the afl decides he should be deregistered like cousins at the end of his WC days. i'd say he'll miss 4-6 games at the most at the start of the season. no point keeping him on the list and paying him but not playing him all season. no chance fev would be picked up by any other side, i was surprised when brisbane showed interest.

I agree 100%,

How many people on this board are involved with a local football club? If you are I bet you all know so many people from your club alone that are worse then fev.

All's I can say is, if I personally did any of the things he done I wouldn't be facing a suspension or losing my job? so why should he cos' his famous? that's bullshit!

What he has done in all reality is sweet **** all,

Brownlow - got pissed, started swearing being a goose etc
Indecent Exposure- took a piss and showed his ****?
Arrested - got arrested for telling a cop to take off his uniform and to fight him, ha pretty funny if you ask me.

None of these things are enough to lose your job over IMO.

The thing is part of his job is to behave properly in public. He is not just paid to play football, he is also paid to be an ambassador for the club.

Lets put this in proper perspective sunshine.

Brownlow = Work function - Do you think anyone's boss wouldn't sack their @rse if the turned up to a work function pissed and started swearing and carrying on like an absolute @rsehole? If you do then either you are a fool or have a fantastic boss that the rest of us would like to meet.

Indecent exposure = Reckless damaging behaviour to corporate image - again a sackable offense.

Arrested for abusing a cop = This amounts to verbal assault on a police officer - if it's threatening enough the cop is entitled to TASER him and guess what Einstein that's also a sackable offense.

But of course you're vastly amused so I suggest you go and piss in your bosses punchbowl and then abuse the security guards that try to contain your abusive behavior and then you can laugh your head off while you are waiting in line to claim the dole.
