Pies would still have a moral victory and more injury woes.
We’d probably have to start paying eent too.
[/QUOTE Persecution complex still champ? You still have Eddie you know.
Player strike would come under industrial action which is a pretty standard force majeure clause liability carve out.Depends on the reason why the season got cancelled. If it was say for the coronavirus, zombie apocalypse, nuclear war or something of that magnitude, then I daresay the world has bigger things to worry about then getting their footy fix.
If it was for another lower level reason say a players strike, then the AFL could be liable for a lot of money (broadcast, sponsorships etc) depending on how their contracts are structured.
Almost 20 years, that still hurtsWith zero revenue, North would fold faster than a 69 point lead

um get your skirts up dude.. we ain't showing nothing... personality driven..Really s**t players would be absolute superstars by the time the next season rolls around - any dud at Carlton is a bonfide top 22 player in half an offseason as it is
I'm unfamiliar with this low pop culture reference, as I read books with big words in them.
SadlyTerry Wallace, David King etc would still talk a whole lotta s**t
In 1919, football leagues across Australia, including all of them in Tasmania, called off the season due to the worldwide influenza epidemic. The next year, they played footy again. This is not a thread to discuss Corona virus per say but what would be the repercussions for the game if the AFL had to call off a season for any reason ?
Interested to hear your thoughts
Nailed it!!!There'd be no games.
Is there only one answer? Are we close? So what is the answer?
