We can get Bartel for nothing (IF he decides to leave or gets low balled) by offering him a front loaded contract, the Blues won't be able to do it with their money troubles, they'll go for a cheaper option like Salopek.

Pick five for Bartel + pick 14 seems a very good trade for Collingwood. Worth considering. (I dont think you can trade "two for one" like that so we'd have to throw in either a player (Davidson???) or pick 53 to square the ledger)

Yes. Be happy to get him for a later pick plus a player (22? and Cole,Lonie etc) then a couple of good mids with 2 and 5. May be unrealistic but I would be happier with that than giving away 2 or 5.

I have never read anywhere that u cannot trade priority picks?

That was not a priority pick. They got pick 4, but moved up to 2 when Carlton were found to be salary cap cheaters..
