Well Alavi was his Chemistry teacher in high school

I would like to see the 34 players sit a "lie detector" test (or sit under oath in court) and answer one question.

Were you injected with Thymosin?

Not "Do you know what you were injected with?" etc, etc
Just a simple "Did someone stick a needle in you and tell you it was 'Thymosin' ?"

It's already been established that Charters, Alavi and Dank were cooking up batches of TB-4 and not Thymomodulin
The tribunal have agreed there was no "good Thymosin"

Essendon players walked because the AFL's own handpicked panel decided nobody could prove those vials of TB4 were actually comprised of TB-4.
The tribunal report also added it was possible the delivery of 20 vials of "I Can't Believe It's Not TB-4" were for Dank's own private stash for his own private patients.

Genius!!! :D

"Don’t forget how important Thymosin is. This is going to be our vital cornerstone next year. It is the ultimate assembly regulatory protein and biological modifier."
- Stephen Dank's SMS to Dean Robinson on 23rd August, 2011
Lie detector tests are pretty useless, though.

He went through a complex 130 page judgement and broke it down into a 3 min summary for viewers. Beautifully done.

The substance was not shown to be TB4 because it was never adequately tested. Based on that, they barely looked at whether Dank actually took it to EFC and administered it to players.

Can see why many were saying it was a 50/50 judgement beforehand.

on ur epigram "I cant believe its not butter TB4, in cycling at the UCI they had their special teams and riders, they would protect and not release and act on positive tests, their term was "butter on the head". that is, slips away like butter on the head.

Wow, that's it folks. Not a chance in hell an appeal is coming after hearing how badly the case failed

Certainly didn't fail badly. Can see why it was considered a 50/50 about the decision beforehand. Just on that one issue. Another panel, especially the CAS, could well be satisfied the substances bought from China was TB4, then you shot. I'd say Dank injected that substances into the players, going by the evidence, but the panel wasn't comfortably satisfied it was TB4 the players got off. I'd say Dank will get done with attempting to inject the players with TB4, amongst other charges and will get a life ban. CAS are alot tougher than a local tribunal and may be comfortably satisfied that the substance was TB4. They are quite often overturning "home town" decisions. WADA appeal about 40 decisions a year to the CAS. You don't want an appeal going there.

All is of course my opinion and speculation.

Interesting times.

Thymosin was on the form. He likely took something called Thymosin but doesn't know what it was exactly. And no one will ever know. It's more specific rather than a vague "well how can we know for sure" situation

No. That isn't what the Essendon lawyer said. If every injection was recorded you would have solid evidence of what was injected. Without that all you had was the consent forms. Jobe couldn't go to records and say I was injected with this this and this. And Jobe could hands down. (explore existentialism in a presser)

I'm far from saying he had no evidence, he did of that I am sure but I do think he knew there was a flaw in the case. That the tribunal would struggle to overcome it.

I don't think the case fell over where he suspected it was weakest, though. I mean, what sort of testing of the TB4 did the tribunal require in order to be convinced? Was ASADA expected to have raided Dank's fridge and seized an unused vial?

Dank did nothing wrong. Haven't you heard?

OTOH, you can't believe a word he says.
Dank warfarinised rugby players. Therefore should get done for that alone.
