Whatever came of ....

As it's the off season, I thought I'd ask whatever came of our players who were here one minute gone the next. Mainly wondering if they continued with any grade of footy and business's they may ventured into.

Mainly interested in Rookies, some who didn't even get to play a senior game.

For starters :-

Scott Edwards

Phil Gilbert

Jamie Merillo

Andrew Siegert

Tim Ruffles

Ruffles was playing VFL last I heard.

Andrew Siegert was coach of North Freo Amateurs, I think

Scott Watters was coaching somewhere over East until recently

Clayton Hinkley is playing for Port Melbourne in the VFL. Luke Webster was coaching Carlton's reserves in the VFL this year.

In relation to rookies who never played seniors, Hamish Shepheard played for Sandringham in the VFL.

The last I heard from Timmy Ruffles was he was playing/coaching in Vic, think it was at Werribee.

Ruffles is now on the Tiger's coaching staff, having retired due to chronic knee problems.

Walked into a Mining work wear place in Bicton and one of the owners was Jamie Merillo. He had a framed poster of the 1995 team on the wall.

What about Ben Edwards taken at pick 7 in 1995 draft and delisted a couple of months later before the season started.

Anyone remember Jack Juniper? I think his claim to fame was leading the AFL Dream Team comp for a few weeks with a team called "Jack's Bitches". Then he featured in a Bucaneer Pool ad with Connolly before being delisted.

Yep he was a Tiger and from memory just after we picked him he did a stint in the slammer so we had to delist him.

Did his knee a couple of times too, cruciate corner at Subi was one, same night as Paul Maher I seem to remember.

That he was from Claremont made it worse, because we could have picked him up for free as zone selection a few weeks before the draft. Instead we wasted a super high draft pick on him.
