Thanks. It would appear that watford went out with a strategy of not giving it a crack....so they were successful. I'm not a soccer fan but i like to watch elite sporting events but watford played like a 3rd division club trying to get the least amount of goals scored against them. I'm not sure how they thought they would win with all of their players protecting their goal keeper. It seems to me that they need to sell more raffle tickets and sell off their current players and fly in a new batch of europeans...

They’re probably hoping for nil all draw and to go into penalties. Or hoping to get a lucky goal on the counter.

Man city are just super team where that tactic doesn’t work.

If you wanted to watch an elite sporting event you shouldn’t have watched something involving Watford.

well i learnt that after 10 minutes. It was the FA cup final so i thought that was elite. I was surprised that watford basically laid down and rolled over at the start of the game. If you want a 1 in 50 chance of winning why not push forward a little and try to put some pressure on the team that everyone expects to win? It was just such a downer of a game with all the play in man citys front half...front quarter more like it. The singing was good. it craps on AFL crowd involvement to some degree. Great singing and the way the crowd entertains itself during periods of boredom is a real lesson for aussie crowds who are always whingeing about wanting to see the players provide entertainment.

Women’s soccer is huge. Especially in the USA. That’s where the expression “soccer mom” comes from.

And we are in it up to our ears.

I will be watching, watch the national teams in most sport on the world stage.

I don't let others worry me, especially in women's sport.

This team is capable of anything.

Doesn't the womens league in the USA have only 9 teams and averages just 6 thousand crowd? Is that huge?
 
It'll be interesting to see what impact winning the womens world cup would have. I'm not sure there's much of an interest for it outside of those who are already soccer die-hards
