I never argue one is better than the other, just what I enjoy more and each person would have their own subjective view.

I dont get why people bash one format over the other, it's like your favourite food to eat, everyone has their preference and it's possible to like more than one thing.
I agree. T20 isn't for me but happy to let others enjoy it.

Just that the 'time' argument doesn't hold water. People think their time is more valuable now than previously but it really isn't. They just have different priorities.

Depends on the definition of "watch" too, vs having on in the background. That I can understand but to me that isn't watching it necessarily.

no mention of gavaskar's 36* (174) v england in 1975 which only included one boundary - and that was a 60 over odi !

and a shout out to phil simmons 4/3 (10) :)

What's your point exactly? India's first ODI, with Gavaskar's attitude to other members of the human race running true to form, and a pretty sublime bowling effort against a pretty ordinary Pakistani team in the slow scoring era before the big scoring games pioneered by Jayasuriya and Kaluwitharana...how about Viv hitting 153 on the MCG with no fielding restrictions v Lillee, Hogg and Thommo, or Fanie de Villiers bowling a 48th over maiden v Australia in a WSC final...?

it was actually india's 3rd odi and gavaskar thought by not being bowled 'all out' would mean a 'draw'.

was more just reminiscing about some classic odi's.

odi's for me still above 20/20's.

the odi's has evolved from picking 4 specialist bowlers and a part timer to close out the final 10 overs and still keeping teams to sub 250 to these days of 300+ being stock standard with 6 or 7 guys that either are specialists or allrounders.

unfortunately odi's aren't relevant outside world cups anymore as people use the 'i don't have time to go' and would rather embrace 20/20 franchise cricket.

Sorry, misread! Jeezuz, get me started on old games...Rod March's broken bat (twice), how far Lance could swing a cricket ball, Pascoe and Viv in a bouncer war, Wasim Akram inswing yorking and then throwing down the stumps v India in the 1992 WC, Jonty Rhodes crash tackling the stumps, the first tie between the Windies and Aus, Boonie wicketkeeping, Allan Lamb slaying Bruce Reid in one over, the Kiwis beating the Aussies by one run a few times, several early nineties games where we kept giving the West Indies modest chases and then belting them under lights...

T20 has ruined the summer of cricket in Australia. Absolute cancer on the sport.

It's a long time since Michael Bevan was hitting the last ball for 4 on New Years Day.
The BBL final was the highlight of last summer.
Cooper Connolly batted like a young up and coming Bevan.
If you didn’t live in the past your opinion would be more up to date.
