Going to try to get to the G at 6 am and line up to get a seat in the MCC as I don't have a ballot ticket. Go home as soon as I get a ticket, hopefully at 8:30 - 9 Am. Sleep and get back in there at around 1:30 pm.

Or I wake up at 9 am and just watch it at my cricket club who have a grand final day function.

I urge thee to attempt the first option.

My conjecture is that the cricket club runs a similar function every year. The result of the match may depend on your decision- think carefully!

Got a packer cut beef brisket that I'm going to smoke Texas style for 12 hours today.

A few decent South Australian craft beers as well. Brew Boys and Vale.

Soft.

2015 GF for me was get up 7am on Friday, work all day, go home and pack, get to airport for midnight red eye, maybe 1-2 hours broken sleep, land Melbourne 6am, get bus to mates house to drop off bags and have shower, get uber to ground, wait for ground to open to get best spot on rail for standing room tickets!

Don't pussy out and not wake up early to go to the game. Win or lose you will regret it.

Last few years I've subsided on Coopers at the pub and maybe a serve of chips between a few people... dangerous.

This is a quiet one for me which will make for a nice break. Might actually not go out until 5 o'clock in the morning this time, might actually remember more than two or three moments too.

Gonna walk into town today, grab a nice carton of something, have a few of those. No idea about lunch, could make a few good sandwiches but the more I think about it the more a good counter meal might get me going...

Of course a kick at half time, that's the most important thing. Trying not to inevitably kick over your own stubbie on the ground.

In a hark back to the last Richmond gf, we are going old school
Snags, onions, bread, sauce
Lamb chops, burnt on the ends
And if I can them, pepper steaks.
All on a Weber that's been in the family since before I was born

Potato salad

And I'll have cheese out but not cheddar cubes and kabana (even though we should)

Flipping up between getting the VB on ice vs furphy or two birds.
Decisions. Tradition v taste

Knocking up rum balls too.

Bottle of Richmond premiership port is waiting in the event they win. If not, back in the cupboard.
