Is it the ROAR from the Barmy Army as England win the final Test at Colombo & win the series 2-1 OR is Steve Waugh's knees trembling as he comes to terms with the fact that he has to take his side to the 'mother country' later this year to confront a resurgant England side who can only get better.

We bowled the Lankans out for 80 odd in their second dig & then rattled the runs off pretty quickly despite a couple of scares, it's a pretty impressive victory when you consider that we lost the first Test (of a 3 match series) & that Nasser Hussain lost EVERY toss which meant that we had to bat 2nd on turning pitches every time. This is after beating Pakistan 1-0 in Pakistan where we lost 2 of the tosses,we've now won 4 series in a row & so are hopefully no longer the laughing stock of world cricket in fact I believe that if you used the table that will be used for the World Championship of cricket we would now be in 3rd place.
We seem to have become a world class side without any world class players,it's a case of everyone chipping in & the side refusing to buckle even when they're on the ropes & the bowling has been outstanding.

So come on Aussies were waiting for ya!

Dipper please stop im laughing to hard

We will come and conquer your pethetic excuse of a cricket team

All the people in the broken homes dont wanna fight no more. All the people nursing shattered bones dont wanna fight no more. But theres no profit in peace so we gotta fight some more.

Dipper,

Isn't that something like four series wins in a row for you blokes. I'm starting to get a bit worried, maybe you can play.

what NONSENSE !!!!

my old man used to say....

"if you stick enough monkeys in front of enough typewriters, sooner or later you get Shakespeare"

give them some respect ??? that's the last thing we should do. Wait until drinks on the first day of the first test...take off Terry Alderman who would have 3 for not much by then....and bring on Warney. All over Red Rover 460 with a rusty boot and no guts.

or is it the sound of the Pommy bandwagon loaded with supporters careering down Ashes Street just having passed a No Through Road sign!!!

or about 19 million "convicts" saying in unison - "heard it all before!"

Bring em on!

Cheers

Gonzo

Good to see that you can all get a bit stirred up by the comments of a delusional Pommie cricket fan. We'll have to wait & see what happens but I hope the Aussie Test side is as dismissive of our chances as you blokes are.

Ptw, before the tour to Sri Lanka I posted a topic asking how you thought England would go in sri Lanka & your reply was :-

sorry Dipper
I would give them no chance at all
if they win a test it will be a huge achievement
ptw

So I just hope that you prove to be as accurate with your Ashes predictions

PS It was interesting to see the Aussies collapse today & lose their last 6 wickets pretty cheaply-do you think they learnt that one from England?

Hey mate I don't know why 'anyone would be able to beat them' at home at the moment considering South Africa went out there not long ago & couldn't beat them & the last time your boys went out there they lost the series. If anything I would have said on recent form that a series in India would have been a cakewalk compared with winning in Sri Lanka or Pakistan.
