I loved the book and they ****** around with some of the messages and themes that made the book so great so wasn't happy about that. Still, McAvoy was excellent as DS Bruce Robertson. If you haven't read the Welsh novel you'll struggle to understand what's going on. 6/10

I didn't even know this was made into a film. Must check it out. Think they're talking about doing a movie for Porno, all the original actors too. Could be interesting

Prisoners - Did enjoy it a lot and it sucked me in for the whole 2 1/2 hours but agree with CF that it was missing something and that the last 45 minutes or so seemed a bit tacky. Still, very entertaining, thought provoking and well acted. Paul Dano did a great job. 8/10

2 Guns - normally I would be a sucker for this type of movie with the snappy dialogue & fast moving pace but no, not this one, it never got me really interested at any stage, found the leads really boring people & came close to switching off but hung in there just in case only to be further disappointed.

Maybe I watched it too soon on the heels of Prisoners, but think it is just crap.

Prisoners- Jesus that was bleak... Excruciating, tense and brutally moody. Whilst it was a tough slog i really enjoyed it. Jackman was great but i thought Gyllenhall was flat also his character was the most incompetent detective ever... 7.5/10

R.I.P.D.- Terrible... gets 1 point for Marissa Miller. 2/10

We're the Millers

Not as funny as I was expecting after reading a few reviews but wasn't bad & did crack me up a few times so that alone made it much better than the usual American comedy.

In fact I found the funniest bit the
piss take of Jennifer Aniston at the end with the Friends theme song
