Prisoners- Jesus that was bleak... Excruciating, tense and brutally moody. Whilst it was a tough slog i really enjoyed it. Jackman was great but i thought Gyllenhall was flat also his character was the most incompetent detective ever... 7.5/10

R.I.P.D.- Terrible... gets 1 point for Marissa Miller. 2/10
Agreed. Gyllenhall is great in the role, and I'm sure the character is the most competent detective in the department. But that doesn't stop him from making 3-4 unbelievably incompetent choices.

I loved the book and they ****** around with some of the messages and themes that made the book so great so wasn't happy about that. Still, McAvoy was excellent as DS Bruce Robertson. If you haven't read the Welsh novel you'll struggle to understand what's going on. 6/10
How did they replicate Bruce's worm?

The World's End - yeah, I don't think I've made up my mind on it. There were some hilarious parts, just not sure I liked the movie, particularly the ending.
Watched this a month or so ago and tend to agree. The first half was good, although some themes were very repetitive. I really enjoy films/books about old mates catching up and the different dynamics of the group etc. and they did this well to an extent. I rapidly lost interest in the second half though.

I just saw the Hunger Games: Catching Fire and I have to say I left a little dissapointed.

I gotta say I never understood the love for the first one, its a slightly better presented Twilight type teen drama without any substance.

How I Live Now - Follows the story of a teenage girl who gets sent to England to spend time with her extended family, with England on the brink of war. Girl gets seperated from her cousin who she falls in love with and it follows her path to find him again. Was basically twilight minus vampires, but more incest. 3/10

Gravity - love the 3D, really feels like you're up there in space. This is the reason to see this movie.

It gets you in right from the beginning with the complete silence, then just a faint crackly radio comment.

It's all been said about the characters & themes, could've been handled better, so don't expect too much here.

Had a little laugh with the fire extinguisher scenes, taken directly from Wall-e. I always thought that was a superior film, now it's being referenced in other movies.

District 9 - something of a classic, those fookin' prawns.

Drinking Buddies - A quirky drama about a female brewer whos in love with her taken best friend. Its a touch slow but didn't find it boring. Olivia Wilde. Is. *******. Hot. In almost every scene the characters are drinking beer. I craved beer so much watching this it was ridiculous. Theres no script. Almost all the dialogue was improvised. Wont be for everyone, but I thought it was equal parts interesting, touching and awkward. 7/10
