Kill Bill Vol.1

A hard movie for me to review. I can appreciate the quality of this film, and can understand why it's highly rated, but it's not a movie that I really connected with. My first Tarantino film I've watched, so the music choices perplexed me. The story overall is a very simple one, and one that doesn't really interest me a whole lot. I suppose the reason you watch it is the sick fight scenes, and they were pretty cool, apart from the exaggerated blood splatters.

Personally, I'd have to rate it a 6.5/10

A movie that's not really my cup of tea. Will watch Vol.2 though.

This is the end

Hahahaha. I ******* loved this movie. I loved all the cameos at the beginning, and I loved the ensemble of the main cast. I think the film did a great job of giving each character an equal amount of screen time while focusing on Jay Baruchel and Seth Rogen's friendship. And I loved the storyline and the characters of both Jay and Seth. Even if you look past the fact that they're high end movie stars, their friendship can be related by a lot of people. The hurdles they face over the movie is ridiculous but keeps it in the realm of logic the movie sets itself up. It's also ******* hilarious. The characters themselves are somewhat diverse which is nice. They're not all the classic dickhead character, although there are some, and it provides major lols, there are also a good blend of characters that act just like any other person in that situation.

8/10, honestly, I can't think of ways that would have made this movie better, except for the fact that there needed to be more screen time for Emma Watson.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles

The turtles look shit. Their voices are shit. Splinter looks shit. His voice is shit. Megan Fox is shit. Seriously, how this woman is ever cast as anything other than 'Stripper Girl #4' is beyond me. So much for her and Michael Bay's feud. Maybe she gave him an enema as a peace pipe. He looks like the kind that enjoys an enema. I certainly felt like I had been given one after watching this. The rocket-powered skateboards are shit. Donatello's glasses are shit. Everything up to the point I walked out was shit. Yes, it was the first time I have ever walked out of a movie.

Frack everyone involved in this abysmal river of shit. I hold you personally responsible for taking the young Turtles-loving me and holding my head beneath said river until my lifeless nostalgic adult body resurfaced a bitter, pissed off man. Frack you, frack you, frack you, frack you, FRACK YOU! You, Michael Bay, are a slug's shit beneath George Lucas when it comes to destroying childhood memories.

Best...review...EVER

agree 100000x

Michael bay has raped and pillaged my childhood memories he better not touch Voltron

Edge Of Tomorrow - This was really enjoyable, excellent Sci Fi fare, Emily Blunt is gorgeous and does a good job as the tough warrior chick and Cruise is dependable as always (he gets alot of stick but just keeps churning out good films, especially impressive when some of his contemporaries have become caricatures of their former selves) 7.5/10

It's an odd film isn't it.

I initially saw it at 16 (after already being acquainted with and loving his early 90s classics). At the time I wasn't overly impressed. But a decade later, after becoming more refined in my cinematic awareness, I saw this for the masterpiece that it is. It's up there with his best films. It's a true delight for cineastes.

Chef - Really fun comedy/drama film with good performances, just don't watch it on an empty stomach! 4/5

Night Moves -
Interesting film that I might need to watch again, very atmospheric and it has some great cinematography. 3.5/5

Boyhood -
Brilliant, they really pull off such an ambitious premise for a film really well. 4/5

Felony - Good aussie flick about a cop that is involved in a hit & run. Good performances from Joel Edgerton, Jai Courtney and one of my favs Tom Wilkinson. Was a little too slow at times but was an enjoyable flick. Joel Edgerton is one talented man (wrote, produced, acted)
Thanks for posting. That sounds like a movie i might like.

A million ways to die in the west (6.5/10)

Not great, but wasn't bad either, good for a bit of a laugh, though Macfarlane was really good, and the chick in it was another reason it was worthwhile.

Transformers: Age of Extinction (2/10)

I don't usually buy into negative press about action movies with massive budgets. I just figure the set pieces make up for the terrible plots or acting... but wowee this was something new.

I don't think I've ever seen more shameless plugging of companies in a movie, nor could think of any that would come close. Marky Mark honestly hits a Bud Light truck with his car, gets out and cracks one open. The plot was never going to be great but for the life of me they just completely skipped a huge chunk of development to how the CIA some how got into contact with an intergalactic race, obtained trust and proceeded to use them as bounty hunters. Above all though Nicola Peltz' acting prowess shouldn't extend further than a straight-to-dvd American Pie sequel.
