St. Vincent - nothing much original or daring going on here, but Bill Murray is good for a laugh or two - 6/10.

Re-watched the first Anchorman, was a mistake, nowhere near as funny as I recall & left me wondering if in fact I ever did find it funny...

The King of Kong - watchable, trouble was I did not take to Billy whatshisname or that other woose, but I guess too many 2 hour+ games of Donkey Kong could have profound effects on ones personality & sanity, just sayin...though I did crack up at the kid crapping his pants while yelling at his old man to "stop playing Donkey Kong!", no father/son issues likely in later life thereo_O - 6/10

In the cinema for Nightcrawler. Looking forward to this one.
Really looking forward to seeing this. I saw the trailer in the cinema a couple of weeks ago - looked like Gyllenhaal was channelling Pacino. Pumped to see it in the near future.

Scarlett Johansen is the only reason I'm thinking of watching the film.

Really don't get the hate for this flick, it's got it's issues but I had fun with it & to quote someone off IMDb - "Not a Documentary!!!!". It seems to have really polarised viewers so there's only one way to find out which camp you fall in.

How is it a documentary? from what iv'e seen of the trailer it's nothing like one man some people are stupid.

That's the point, it's not a doco but some of the reviews were just way over the top critical of what is just supposed to be harmless fun which, last time I checked, is what most movies are about, a way to switch off for a couple of hours & Lucy managed to do that for me.

Attack (1956) - injustices within the army are explored powerfully in this war film. Some really fine performances and moments in this. Including some fine action sequences. Up there with Paths of Glory in its depiction of the negative aspects like cover ups a soldiers and officers are exposed to within the chain of command and hierachy in the army. Of films i've seen up there with The Hill in terms of being an underrated war film. 8/10

I see only a few pages ago this movie came up in discussion. Dawn of the planet of the apes, I don't really get around to watch many movies. It was probably the first movie I have sat down and finished watching in a few months...

What an awesome flick. Cesear is an awesome actor ;)

I rate it 8.5/10
Really enjoyed it and didn't think Koba would shoot first

Halfway through this bizarre movie.

I s#it you not, firecrackers went off down the street when Bella and Edward finally bonked.

Guess the local hoons are watching ABC2, too...

fury - good to see a different perspective on war - through a tank unit. You got a good sense of how it may have been and how it came down to luck if you got hit or not really. Good acting and decent story. the final fight was good. Enjoyed it

Mockingjay Part 1:

The first 2 were a lot better, this one just seemed to drag on and there was very little action, most of the movie was just focusing on Katniss and her emotion, and she only fired 1 arrow in the whole movie, ONE!!!!! Still, I liked it overall, nothing spectacular and certainly expected better but still a decent film. (Part 2 is all set for an action packed blockbuster, let's hope they deliver)

6/10

Gone Girl. Absolutely loved it.
Went with my wife which is no major surprise. But I say it because the way the film unfolds that added an extra and unexpected level of amusement for both of us. Married men who've see this film with their wives will understand what I mean.
