Typical MCU fare saved by the Kiwi bro humour. That was unexpected and hilarious

Thinking back, the Dr Strange cameo was one of the most pointless cameos I can remember

Can anyone offer a good reason as to why they really needed him?

Funnily, I was thinking of going to see this but baulked at paying $20.50 for a movie without explosions and special effects that'll look just as good watching at home for free. Interesting times for the cinema business.
Readings cinemas have $10.50 tickets for adults and kids for all sessions

I remember being disappointed when Dr Strange's appearance was done.

Can anyone offer a good reason as to why they really needed him?
The MCU characters have to weave in and out of each other's movies. It's their thing.

Yup as well as $21.50 Gold class tickets + cheaper popcorn and coke. (IIRC its something like $5-$7 for a small combo).
I just got anally probed with my popcorn and drink combo yesterday to the tune of $18

At least tickets were only $10 a piece

$15 for couples combo (medium popcorn, 2x large drinks) which keeps the 3 kids happy. And I think you can add extra items to combos at an almost normal(ish) price

IT (2017)

Finally seen this much talked about remake from earlier this year. The movie looked amazing and the CGI was some of the best I've seen in a horror, so the budget must have been large. I thought the kids played it well with that childhood innocence mixed with the ability to understand something the adults just can't see (literally). A few cliches here and there common to movies where kids are the stars, but not to the detriment of the film. However, apart from a mildly scary finale, the film really had no scare factor for me. Maybe I've just seen too many films like this to find it scary. Also, the film went way too long, another excess modern film makers seem to be indulging in these days. I liked the film, but not for the reasons I should have. 5/10.

Three Billboards...: expectedly excellent. Would watch McDonaugh movies all day. Their drama rings so true in midst of all their dark comedy. Harrellson and McDormand put in ripper performances.
So much unexpected in this, absolutely loved it!
