I'm about to enter my second year as a footy watcher and I can't wait. I've aligned myself with the Dogs so I'm expecting lots of heartbreak and headache.

I'm looking to learn more about the intricacies of the game as well as have an engaging community to talk with. I have been unsuccessful in wrangling any of my stateside friends into watching with me.

I think they play about 9 or 10 a side teams, a system known as "Metro Footy" in the USA.
So if you're looking for more locals to share the game with, I'm sure they sit down to AFL games regularly!

That's amazing! Unfortunately, I'm about 4 hours away from any of those, but I had no idea there was anything outside of USAFL (I should have assumed, but hadn't heard of anything)
