Granted I enjoyed last nights game. That's the exception. Pies blues last week? WCE vs Gold Coast and tops vs north tonight? What is this rubbish. Last Saturdays games were good as it turned out, but you think Friday nights and Saturdays would be full of block buster games as in big teams.

GWS freo could turn out to be good but again it's no draw card.
Saints vs Crows last sat night too.

* off AFL. Bring out the big guns.

Blues* vs Roos

Lions vs Port
Deees vs Roos

Last week. Good games, but fixture wise could have been atrocious.

The problem they face is trying to schedule Richmond to play every Friday and Saturday night...

Blues Gold Coast Easter Saturday and Dees-lions. Port vs Freo round 1, saints-lions.

Melbourne v Hawthorn should have been the 2:10 start, and Western Bulldogs v Sydney at 7:50. Richmond v Brisbane should have been a late Sunday game.

Of course, give Friday and Saturday nights to only big teams, then complain that small teams don't get enough numbers.
Nowt to do with big teams vs small teams. Carlton, Essendon and Collingwood are big teams and nobody likes them during primetime. We want in for teams from the season prior to play primetime. Its more to do with TV numbers than attendance anyway. Sunday is more of a hassle to attend than Saturday night, but it can be hard to get out of Saturday night plans to go to footy.

Pies vs GWS two weeks ago was a good game and had interest in it. That's a good fixture. A select few though in the opening rounds.

Thank * for ANZAC round next week with some crackers. Last Sunday had good fixtures and decent games. We shouldn't have to wait until Sunday's for some good footy which is what's happened. The Thursday games were cool. Hawks-cats obviously.

saturdays have been shithouse.

This OP is off his rocker. Not every game is going to be a classic. Not every game that looks good on paper will end up a good game. Some games that look rubbish on paper end up being enthralling contests.

The AFL can’t manufacture classics every single prime time slot. A dull game in a prime time fixture every now and then is inevitable. Nobody knows for sure who’s going to be good before the season starts anyway.
