There are only 2 problems with Ballarat-

2) The drinking culture. I know what was happening ten years ago, what is happening now and what will be happening in 10 years time. It is all the same. Go out have a few beers as a warm up. Get to a pub/club have a few more play some pool, try your luck with the ladies, stike out, get in an agruement amybe throw some punches then go home.
I've been around a bit, and that's not a problem excusive to Ballarat-- or to smaller cities or towns, either.
Whether that's here in Ballarat, San Jose (my hometown in California, population of over one million people), or Wellington, New Zealand, it happens anywhere. Even in big cities such as Los Angeles, London or Paris, or Melbourne, too. That's just my personal observation...
So if that's a concern to Slax and others, what would you like Ballarat to be? Seems that any of you have visions of a city that can be different and better than it gives itself credit for-- so any ideas/solutions, from your experiences of having been here?
Cheers,
William

.oh I love Melbourne it rocks!!!! and I wish I could go there more ofen to do other stuff apart from going to the footy to see Richmond play.
