So far they both have been quite impressive in their games at WC and I was wondering why you traded both of them for only 1 draft pick (number 17 or something).

I dont know if any of you have seen some WC games but they are playing pretty good footy at the moment. Taylor doesn't seem to have anything wrong with his knees??

Anyway thanks for them both, who did you pick up with the draft pick and do you think he will help your club?

I'm pretty sure that they were part of the Rhen deal. Good luck to them both, glad to hear they are doing well.
I don't think Collica would have got a game with the Hawks this year unless there are a lot of injuries. Richie Taylor had an ordinary year last year but can be excellent-good luck to him.(he is a bit weird though: into eastern mysticysm and tree hugging tantric stuff-not you're typical footy player)

I hope both players do well, they were probably victims of not fitting in to Scwabbys game plan. Taylor had his best years under Judgey as a defensive on baller, Schwab has preferred Woods in this position and has even given him an edict to attack more when we have possession. Collica also played well under Judge but couldnt get a game with Schwabby, his disposal lets him down at times but he is a courageous player with a great leap. Hawthorn needed to get some talented youngsters in the midfield, and give them more game time, players such as Piccione and Clarke, Johnston and Greene, this prolly more than anything put the squeeze on Taylor. Both were respected players at the Hawks (especially Tayls) and they wont lack in effort for the West Coast

Two words, skill and pace. Neither of them have either in overabundance. Was a decision to go with youth basically to get rid of Dickie i think.

Collica, well he just wasnt good enough for anywhere else but half back and that the one area where we have more than enough depth.

Good luck to both of them though, hope they can kick on.

Cheers.

We used the Number 21 draft pick that WCE gave us to get Nick Ries from the Sandringham Dragons. He's a midfielder and David Parkin on radio said that he will be a future leader of the club. He'll probably play senior footy this year.
