Yeah the shadow seems to stop at the start of the boats edge.

And there are two horizons!

the photo is coming from outside of the boat. While by no means impossible, in the presence of such a large, aggressive creature, leaning out of the boat like that probably goes against every human instinct.

When I went on one of those croc jumping tours in darwin last year. the boat we were on had a platfrom overhanging the side of the boat to hang meat off it, although the boat in the picture is quite different to the one I was on.

Also, the croc is missing the meat that's there for him by quite some margin. Crocs are very precise killing machines, it's not going to take a couple of shots to get a piece of hanging buffalo meat.

On the tour the crocs didn't always get the meat and would sometimes take up to 2-3 shots to actually get it, but that maybe because the crocs in that river have been getting fed like that for years, so I'm geussing they don't always put in the effort because they know they're getting the meat even if they miss the first jump...


But yeh, the photo looks a bit fake.

i dont know much about edited photos but i have a strong bullshit meter and that photo registers an 11/10

Uh this has been a big story and there have been multiple interviews with people confirming it to be legit.

multiple people + a video have confirmed the croc as being legit

as far as the actual photo of a giant, billion times larger than life thing jumping out of the water so far, so close to the boat, no..it is not confirmed. and yes, it is fake.
