Now we've seen how everyone's pre-season has gone, injuries, fitness levels and winning form, whats your prediction just before we begin?

I did a half year of tips today for the comp I'm in, and I worked out what the ladder would look like according to my tips being right, I reckon its pretty much on the money:

Quite a few people seem to be thinking Collingwood will dip down the ladder this season. Reasons? Does this mean we have a decent chance of knocking them off in Rd 4- Sounds alright to me.

some will laugh at Richmond higher than us but i would rather be us than them. we have the capability to rise into the top 6 in 2-3 years time. Richmond will hang around outside the 8 for another generation. They just float around.

Further to my ladder...

I expect the big improvers this year to be Freo, StKilda and Brisbane. Sides Im really not convinced about are the Pies, West Coast and Sydney. The sliders will be Adelaide and Essendon.

The competition is becoming increasingly even. I expect that the bottom 4-6 sides will all have a least 5 wins by the end of the year. The ladder could change dramatically weekly.

But at the end of the day, Geelong, Hawthorn, St Kilda will be the strong ones occupying the top few spots for most of the year. I didnt think I'd be saying that 12 months ago (all Victorian based sides)
