"MELBOURNE’S season has received another setback with defender Matthew Whelan facing a one-match ban for striking Carlton’s Brendan Fevola.

Whelan has been charged by the Match Review Panel with a level three striking offence against the Blues' forward, which has earnt him a two-match sanction that can be reduced to one with an early plea.

North Melbourne defender Daniel Pratt was charged with a level two engaging in rough conduct offence against Collingwood’s Josh Fraser.
Pratt can accept a one-match plea due to his clean record, while Eagle Chad Fletcher can accept a $1950 fine for making negligent contact with umpire Hayden Ryan during the third quarter of his side’s clash with Port Adelaide.

St Kilda’s Leigh Montagna and Bomber Andrew Lovett were charged with a first offence for wrestling each other during the three-quarter-time break of their game on Friday night. Both can accept a $900 with an early plea.

Other players assessed but not charged included Adelaide’s Brett Burton, Essendon skipper Matthew Lloyd, Geelong’s Josh Hunt and Fremantle’s Jeff Farmer."

Nothing on Thornton... must have been thrown out??

They should be done and dusted with reports now, so I suspect the Thornton report would have been thrown out.

1 weeks good IMO. Wasn't too much in it, and I think Fevola so obviously dropping to the ground after the hit would have helped reduce the sentance, as Fev was being a soft c*ck all day:).
