North melbourne supporters Unite.
for this may be your clubs last decade
when your king retires from his throne, you better hope that your supporters that turn up are not more than 10% frontrunners, cause if they are youre club will have no money left, I'm sick of seeing a club that has been so sucessful, Probably team of the 90's, have no people turn up to it matches, so if your mates are north fans and can afford to go to the games encourage them to go of the interstate clubs will get their way with a reduction of clubs in melbourne.
this would be a shame cause the competition is so good the way it is.

I have to agree. Although as an opposing supporter i will gladly see the back of Wayne Carey, i don't particularly want to see another club go down. I saw mine fall a few years back and while things could have worked out better they coulda been a lot worse. I'm happily behind Brisbane lions, but i would b a lot happier seeing Fitzroy guernseys running around. Moral of the story: North fans buy memberships now before your team is under threat.

We have, over twenty five thousand members this year, and building.

Remember the only reason Fitzroy was forced, against her will to be taken over by Brisbane, was that Richmond's President was too scared of the super team that would be created, if North and Fitzroy joined forces.

Sad all you Lions fans can't be with the winners.

ok Longjohn, u say that North has over 25,000 members, i have only one question! Where the hell were they all on Friday night? the whole ground attendance was 26,000!

The cash strapped roos are going down in a big way!

Everyone on this board should realize that crowd attendances don't matter anymore, except to Mike (loves a story any story) Sheehan.

Some points to prove this..

The game is now a television sport.

Club Membership contributes less then 25% of club income.

At North, Greg Miller has stated already this year that gate attendances don't matter as the sponsorship with MAZDA is so lucrative, that it doesn't matter how many people come in the SCG.

So as long as you are winning you will be in the league.

The Kangaroos have had probably their worst season (or equal to 1997) since Pagan took over, imagine if they get back on track before the end of the season. But that is hard to imagine they are playing so bad at the moment, theen they are sstill forth on the ladder not bad for a team that has no chance come August-September.

1 2 3 or 4 it does not really matter in 2000.

rooboy 96,

tell all your north friends to tell thier north friends not to buy a membership or go to games next year and we'll see how long they last, cause if the club doesn't have any members how long do you think mazda or anyone else will sponsor a club that no-one watches, 25% of 5 million is still 1.25 million no small amount by any stretch of the imagination, if north didn't want more members and/or bigger attendances do you think they would have tried to go to sydney, I think not!
