Officially it was when Terry Wallace became our coach.

But I think we were close to starting it a year or so before then.

An interesting spread of opinion. I find it really hard to work out when the rebuild started, because apart from a Danny Frawley dip a few years back, the Tiges have been finishing around the same spot for 20 years or so. Seems that Tiges fans are using the dip as a starting reference point. After reviewing their list I'm not so convinced. :)

Clumsy troll at best. You're slipping parrot.
He's had a bad run for a few weeks but sooner or later he'll be back. Maybe all the optimism from Carlton atm is such a change that their supporters have become confused and disorientated

A Richmond win in Round 1 should set them straight again ;)

Yes, but last year parrot was unsighted during much of the season proper (as you'd expect from a fair weather supporter who only likes to stir others, not really support his team) so I'd be guessing we only have a few weeks of parrot left :)

I really don’t know the answer to this one. Will be interesting. I'm guessing it's a generational thing. :)
Everyone knows the rebuild bagan the moment that Wallace was appointed. Seems the Blues are having their moment in the sun in the first 6 months of their rebuild but there is still along way to go Parrot.

By about Round 6 they should start hitting the wall and by Round 12 your interest will be turning towards which potential Top 5 kid the Blues should take in the November draft.:D

Which rebuild do you mean little birdy?

We've had a few over the last couple of years, but Wallace has given it a decent crack, turning over 2/3rds of our list in 2 years... that's no easy feat.

Our last proper attempt at a rebuild was, IMO, when Kevin Bartlett was coach and we were broke during the SOS campaign, and had no choice but to blood kids... In this time KB bought in the likes of Matty Knights, Tony Free, Craig Lambert and a few other pretty handy kids.

I understand that you probably wouldn't be aware of it as it was before your time, obviously.

Disagree. Parrot is far more likely to be Thrawn or Appleyard/Chief IMO.

And you come to that conclusion... how?
By the crap he gets away with at times.

he's a clever troll, and who is in a better position than to know just how to get under newbies skin other than the owner of this site, who we all know barracks for *$#$$@*

(*$#$$@* is code for the side, as last time it was named I got banned ;))

But if you read my post carefully you'll realise I dont really believe it myself, perhaps suspect, but not believe.

Yeah I reckon you're one of the better Carlton people, you've openly said that Carlton are crap, something which many blues fans struggle to do.
Most Carlton fans are just waiting for the Richmond fans to admit that they aren't any good either.

BTW - we were crap, we are now at the level above crap, not sure what that is though.

The rebuilding phase of Richmond defies space and time. It cannot be measured in finite terms. It has always been in progress and always will, with no end in sight. An endless cycle of spit and perpetual ninthness

I've known/read SaveFerris/Dicey's stuff for years, never had any qualms with him.

So I have NFI why he'd suspect I was parrot. Kinda insulting really. :(

It's like saying ODNs is really JeffDunne - low blow!

I think you may be right. It's kind of a formless entity. The Tiges rebuild never really begins, and it never really ends. When you think you've identified the start of the Tiges rebuild and begin to focus on it, it magically disappears. Each year Terry just adds 1 year to his rebuild spin deadline, and no-one notices. :)
