Do you do this? I've tried, **** me, I cant get a single glass down...I'm already full of liquid! All it tends to do is make me chuck!

I tend to drink water alongside my alcohol throughout the evening as I find drinking alcohol (beer especially) really dehydrating. Helps quite a lot.

Back in the day (I'm just 23), I'd have a 12 hour drinking session and wake up sprightly ready to do it again and while I can still do this to an extent, I find it harder to do the late nights, rather than imbibe the alcohol. I'm not hungover on the Sunday, I'm massively tired and ready for a two hour kip after lunch.

These days, going back to the water thing, I'm happy to have a bit of a dip at bingeing, but I get to a good stage and afterwards, just buy a beer and a glass of water and can then go all night if I need to, just staying at that happy drunk stage.

Only do this every 2-3 months. Full-time work kills you. Plus, I'm not a fan of the weight gain, being someone with a slow metabolism. Going back home every 3-4 months and going out, you see the same people everytime, just a kilo or two heavier.

Im almost 28, and I have pretty much moved my 'big' nights to Friday nights as it generally now takes me the saturday and sunday to get over them.

Big Saturday nights now effect my Monday work days too much.

I'm a fan of the Friday session being the biggest session simply because you dont feel so lethargic on Saturday because you know you dont have to be in bed by a certain hour.

I find I dont do anything on Sunday after drinking because I'm basically waiting to go to bed to catch up on sleep.

Funny, im usually terrible at backing up, but when I go away on holiday with mates you seem to take on a whole new attitude where you just ignore the hangover and keep going. Unigames was a solid 5 huge nights in a row, and whilst I was ****ing wrecked the week afterwards whilst there it wasnt too bad

Re Water - Has worked perfectly some times, others I have been at the point where it just makes me spew (which usually means im in for a torrid time the next day).

In 2010 I cut down my drinking heaps. I did still get drunk a few times, but due to me not being too much of a drinker anymore, virtually all those nights ended with my head in the loo. Get drunk now probably on average not even once a month anymore. You do have a great time, but its terrible for your health and you put on too much weight. In a couple of years I think I'll be done completely.

When drinking spirits mixed with tonic water, booze and H2O is consumed simultaneously, thus avoiding any water charging.

These days I drink vodka and soda water or gin and tonic, primarily for this reason, plus, there's slightly less calories than in beer.
