When does the next NBL season begin

I think it starts in October .. i think. I cant be sure. Dont know how we will go this year though. With Timmons gone and Fisher retired we could be pretty weak. Unless the youngsters start showing something like Harvey did a couple of years ago or we recruit an established player we might struggle. Rogers should be fit and i think we have an option on an import so all is not lost. Cant wait though.

Neilson is no where near good enough to play NBA. The only aussie ever good enough to play NBA was Longley. Gaze, Anstey and Heal have all played but none were successful. Heal and Gaze dont have enough athleticism and Anstey was never really big enough. Anstey is PF size in NBA terms.

Hey i'd still rather Anstey than Tarlac or Bagaric (or whatever that guy's name is!)

We wont have to worry now though with 7'1 Eddy Curry being picked up at number 4 and Tyson Chandler at 6'11 at number 2

They say they have huge potential and if they fill out and perform like they think they can we could be unstoppable in two or three years.

i was only mentioning matty neilsen cos he is a syd kings boy...

gaze & heal... great shooters.. good enough for nba.. i think heal still has a timberwolves record for most threes in a quarter (6 against the sonics)... agree.. both too unathletic.. and both dont know what defense is... they struggle to play d in the nbl, how they expect to get by in the nba...hehe..

a guy i'd like to see in the nba is simon dwight...
i think he has great athleticism, blocks shots, and can stroke 3's... might be a bit skinny... but, could be a competent SF..

On a bad team Dwight could be a second or third string SF but on a good team he would struggle to get a game. There is such a gap between the talent of the NBA and the NBL and i think the key to it is colour.

Black men are better ball players than white men. The NBL is full of white dudes and the NBA is black dominated, simple as that.

how do u think they would fare on the hardwood?

No Aboriginal players that i know of?? I think its a different kind of skill though. I cant explain it but there is a difference between basketball skill and footy skill. Aboriginals have footy skills but they will never have basketball skills.

Cant explain but just trust me, ive seen many a aboriginal player play and they just dont have it.
