When Dustin comes back will we see a whole new level of 'don't argue'?

Martin reminds me of Nelson from The Simpsons episode (S09E06) where they play "Football" and Nelson gets a touchdown by running through all the players and knocking them out of the way, then he does it again later by grabbing hold of Bart and using Bart to fend off all the other players. Been trying to find/make a clip of it but haven't been successful.

Gee there isnt much love for Martin on the main board, get the impression everyone wants to see him fail and turn into a Cousins so people can big note themselves at his expense.

Guess thats a tag he is going to have to live with but I hope he serves up a large peice of dont argue and turns this competition on its head with a much needed kick up the arse.

I take it with a grain of salt... But for two weeks now carro on footy classified has hinted at some concerns with dusty's off field behavior, and the need to move in with Gary March, saying he needs structure and big concerns on how he handles himself when that structur is removed (end of season. byes etc)..... Just hope he clears his head. And that the brother he is moving in with is a good influence on him......

Gets a bit lazy with his kicking as it comes so easily to him. Laying some more tackles would be nice but he hasn't got that fitness base just yet.

Don't know about anyone else, but I thought his last game was the best for the year. Actually seemed to be more involved the whole way through.

For the record I think we will see him back with a vengeance when he gets back on the field. Have a feeling that with the injuries of late he will want to come back and give something back to his mates for letting them down the way he did.

No one wants to see Martin fail. I certainly don't. But this year has been far from a blinder. You could argue that Jetta, Fyfe, Bastinac and Christensen, all in the same draft, have gone past him. He needs more responsibility. Just sounds like outside of footy he struggles to tie his own shoelaces. Maybe time for him to grow up. The football field might be as good as place as any to start.

screw carroline wilson, such a knob doesnt know a thing about martin except what is shown in the media. dont know if bold part is sacrastic or not...

lol jetta, bastinac and christensen. seriously? you seriously think those 3 have gone past martin's development?? you've got to be joking me. fyfe i understand, but those 3? you're cray cray

I do fear it could be another Ben Cousins case.

However, Richmond have got him early and suspended him, so he might think again about it next time.
he's not even doing drugs like what cousins did

Fyfe's played how many games this year? I would take Dusty's 2012 over all those players comfortably.

Which Jetta. Lewis has been impressive, Leroy no way.

Fyfe and Martin a level above the other two. Martin is tracking fine, still building that midfielders tank

I feel Dusty's highs and lows have leveled out, hes performing at a decent level every week, enough to keep the vultures away but not enough to set the world alight, good to see consistency but i'd like to see him kick 5 again :)

I'm talking about someone who gets away with it all the time, and becomes bigger than he is.
Gets away with what? Dusty hasn't gotten away with jack. If you're implying he's into other things we're not hearing about... Way to jump to conclusions.

Dusty will be angry and want to atone. But he is a young kid, really he is a bogan. He needs to learn to put in now to get back later, and to hold off on the 'nice' stuff (bourbon and coke) when it might affect his play. I've known plenty of young guys that were like him (as I see him from outside) and suddenly woke up to the world in their early to mid 20's. It's just part of life, and hopefully the penny drops earlier than later.
I'm not worried as long as the club is careful and takes a firm but fair approach.

Not at all, just saying, if he got away with a few drinks and sleeping pills now, then he might do it again, and like Cousins and Fevola, it'll spiral down.

The fact the club got him early, will make him think twice about doing anything that could impact on him.

True. Probably best then that the club clamped down on this behaviour as soon as it started. Hopefully gives the boy a fair smack in the chops.

His poor form is crap. He goes through games unsighted all the time with absolutely no influence. If anything his form has gone backwards this year.
Completely agree. He's been insighted through most games this year. Where's the run from the middle and the goals on the run from outside 50 that we saw last year. All that's gone completely missing in 2012.

Hope he gets it back and he becomes a total champion. He has a Brownlow medal in him if he works hard enough.

FWIW Fev said himself things mightn't have turned out as they did if he was disciplined like Dustin was when he was the same age
Cuz said the same thing, if he had been suspended early on, he wouldn't have had the confidence to get on the gear.
