When is 4K coming to 7AFL coverage?

Does anyone know when/if 7 will have 4K UHD for AFL coverage? Hoping the start of the new broadcast deal in 2025 will bring it in.

The only way to watch 4K footy for the foreseeable future is to subscribe to Foxtel or Kayo.

They already produce AFL in 4K, so they could broadcast it from 2025 if they had the infrastructure in place. Trouble is the FTAs won't foot the bill for upgrading transmission technology - they want the govt to assist. Given there's no revenue benefit it's hard to imagine an upgrade in the near future. They COULD upgrade 7Plus to 4K but again, where's the revenue incentive to justify the cost?
