When was the last time we really thrashed a team? I know we beat Port by about 40 last year, but how long back do we have to go for a 70-80 point win - the sort of game where its over by half time and you can just sit back and enjoy the show? We've had a head of huge losses in the past few years, but I can't remember our last big win.

2001? Or have we had a big one in the mean-time that I've missed?

I guess playing Melbourne this week, they've had some big losses already, and we're hitting some form... its getting a bit ahead of ourselves, but with Fev, Juddy and co up and firing, I'd like nothing more than a really, really big win, a game where everything goes right and players build confidence for the future.

Not to say Melbourne won't come out firing, or that we will even win. Its just that if we were going to win by a lot some time this year and get some momentum going, this is probably our best chance...

When we have led in the past few years it has seemed enough and we would lose. More recently we have led but run out of legs or been run over by better teams. Now I think we are at the stage where we get in front and feel like the bloke who has made a break in the marathon or Tour de France. "Now what do we do?" sort of stuff.

We still need to build the confidence to be able to consistently play footy as we did last week. The challenge came from Collingwood and we stared them down. That's the mindset we need - to believe we CAN win because we are BETTER than the opposition.

Not sure we are quite there yet but we haven't been closer since the days of the thread title.

Walkers debut was about a 10 goal win over West Coast IIRC

Should have been 10 goals, but only 49 points in the end after the Eagles kicked 4 consolation goals in the last quarter (after only having kicked 2 to 3/4 time!). Damn consolation goals - hate 'em when others kick them, love em' when we kick them.

We really need to win first then worry about the margin. When was the last time we won two in a row. I am not calling it a turnaround until we do it consistently. We beat Collingwood, but that could happen anytime. I remember when we were up there and they were down and out, they still beat us, ladder positions mean nothing between us and them.
Give me two in a row and keep building on it.

We won 2 in a row last year- against Dogs and Port. They were the only two games I went to last year- how lucky was I?!!

Our biggest win in the past 5 years was V Geelong Round 2 2004 At Optus Oval 16.8 104 to 6.14 50.

That day Camp had 32 touches and 4 goals. I clearly remember one of his goals where he was on the run and from 50 bounced it through. It Brought the house down.
Feels like decades since he wore the navy blue but still haven't forgiving him for switching to the dark side.
