We all constantly say things about players/teams etc believing we know better than everyone. But guess what, we aren't always right. In fact sometimes we are very wrong!

What time have you said something about a player/team that was very wrong? Two immediately come to mind for me:

1) I thought LA Lakers were crazy when they basically decided Kobe over Shaq. I thought it was a terrible move not going with the big man. While Shaq won a Championship in Miami, LA easily made the right decision

2) When MJ retired the first time I thought the Bulls would be in line for a very high draft pick, but returned a very respectable 55 wins (only a few less than the year before).

I thought Miami were done and we had the championship with 28 seconds left in game 6, literally was jumping up and down so happy I have never actually watched my favourite sports team win anything (was too young to remember the crows winning). Seriously hate that we lost and want the Spurs to win it this season. Wouldn't care if they never won another title again

I thought De Colo would be at worse a solid role player, boy was I wrong.

Thought Carter-Williams would be a complete bust based off Summer League and pre-season.

Oops. Nerlens Noel had it right.

Thread needs more of the 2013/14 Phoenix Suns. I thought they were a lock for a bottom 5 record.

I thought Tyrus Thomas would become almost an all star level player, was even more convinced after he went toe to toe with Rasheed Wallace early in his second year. Also thought Marquis Teague would become a solid contributor this year and be groomed to be Rose's long term backup. Think the Bulls should stay away from those athletic but raw types just quietly.

Going back further most Chicago fans would've been telling you all about how it was just a matter of time until "the three C's" dominated the league. *cringes*

When Cleveland got Mo and then Jamison the following year (IIRC) I thought that would be all Lebron needed to go all the way.

Vince Carter will be better for Orlando than Hedo was.

That Boston team was done, too old to make the finals again.

"Why the **** would the Magic make that Howard trade..."

Nek minnit, they ended up with the best end of the deal. They got Vucevic and a lot of other players, then it helped them get Oladipo and they got rid of cancer Howard.

If this is the most wrong you have been you are doing alright. I mean he finished 3rd in last years MVP, which I believe is his best ever finish.

Scoring he has yes but getting his team mates involved. Its like the old Melo from Denver.......Just chucking up 20 shots a game for the sake of it.

I know there's a few Power supporters in these parts so i thought they would appreciate this picture in the spirit of this thread

I think I picked Chicago to win the East this season... oy vey.

I thought the Thunder would be a level below 'elite' this season - underestimated their youngsters.

I thought that Al Horford and Paul Millsap were too similar to play well together - they proved me wrong.

Although, on Millsap... I was hoping we'd let Eric Gordon walk in 2012, and instead use the money to sign/trade for Millsap and Goran Dragic. Eighteen months later, I'm seething with jealousy towards ATL and PHX.

I thought Michael Beasley would be an absolute stud in the league along the lines of Blake Griffin and be atleast a 5 time all-star.

Still have time on this prediction but I doubt it will happen.
