Probably 2009, although 2008 is a remote chance. The point is the Blues aren't just hoping for a scrape-over-the-line-pinch-a-flag effort like the Weagles, but rather are building an across-the-board high talent lineup designed to win a string of flags and setup yet another Carlton success era. This is the focus at the Carlton Football Club. Denis and his coaching staff are experimenting with new defensive and forward structures, that aim to take the game to a new level. Watching extreme althetic talents like Setanta and Waite play key position defensive roles V Dons was a little example of that. Matty Lloyd found himself playing on 200cm 100kg+ Setanta who has extreme pace and a massive leap. He was lucky to kick 2 goals. Waite played the most attacking KP defensive game I have ever seen. Seemed to be more interested in just outmarking Lucus rather than go for the punch i.e. playing like he was the CHF. Waite is awesome at ground level at well. So these 2 ain't your usual KP defensive types. With such a wealth of talent, Denis can now experiment with various combinations, again the aim is to develop structure with multi-flag potential. Denis might add Bower and Hartlett to the defensive mix next week, and throw a high talent fast KP forward like Jake Edwards into the forward half to mix things up a bit. There is rapidly building confidence at Carlton - we know that success is inevitable and close. :)

I voted 2014-2020.

I like to play the percentages. :)

Actually, if I really wanted to play the percentages, I should have gone for 2020+

Yeah. That's a surefire tip. Do yourself a favour and avoid bookies.;)

Carlscum has some great young players courtesy of the wooden spoons they have earnt!!

Murphy
Walker- A bit overrated but still very good
Briggs- assume he will be good
Kennedy- Shown very little, but I think will come good.

However, the blues will definetly improve & wont be on the bottom for too much longer, but to win a flag is very hard!! Just ask St Kilda who has so many first round picks just like carlscum for there pathetic efforts in teh past.

The problem is that you cant buy flag anymore, so Carlscum will improve alot (lets face it, they cant get much worse), but it may be a LOOOOOOOONNNGGGG wait!!

Who the hell is Briggs

They'll only win a flag when they start recruiting some hard players instead of the outside receivers they have been like Stevens, Walker, Murphy and Gibbs.

They need someone like McLean. A midfield of McLean, Murphy and Gibbs would have dominated but instead they picked that dud Walker. Oh well.

Anyway, Carlton wont win another flag anytime soon. They probably wont even make the finals this decade.
