Tasmania Hawks = gutless, insipid netballers

Well firstly what a great spectacle from the competition leaders of the last 2 years tonight. Although the people of Sydney would be dissapointed at the result I'm sure they enjoyed it, and you have to admire the guts of both teams.

However, once again these Wally teams from the state of Victoria are dragging the chain. Saints, Demons, Kangaroos all tarnishing our: great game with their pathetic footy. If I showed Friday night's game to an American viewing AFL for the first time I would have been hanging my head in embarrassment after that so called 'blockbuster'. But the worst of the worst are without a doubt the Tassie Dorks. Alf, act like an arrogant cringeworthy tool in public all you want, all the first round draft picks, 'good governance' and sponsorship money in the world won't buy your players team spirit and a soul

I agree (in part) to what you are saying. The games so far have been ordinary to say the least. The standard is crap and all the Vic teams (except St Kilda) that have played so far will struggle and finish in the bottom end of the ladder.
Friday night was BORING, ended up switching over to some crappy C-Grade Rene Zellweger movie!

When will Clarkson start the winning culture at Hawthorn?

Looks like more 'talented teenagers' are coming to Hawthorn at the end of this season.
Clarkson's a great coach. Just keep losing and the fans think you are terrific because you've 'got the best youngsters in the comp'.

A procession of high draft picks means Jack if your team has a losing culture.
Clarkson is a dud.

Cheers. Your mob are the exception of all the Vics, playing a positive, spirited style of footy

Good times ahead indeed for those in Footscray :thumbsu:

As for the rest...

Hope you're right!
Dogs & Saints should make the 8? Melb are a show but must improve, Cats?? Jury still out on them.
As for the rest, they may as well plan for 2008 and some more draft picks. Vic footy is in a sorry state at the moment and the games over the last 24 hours are not a good sign for the rest of the season.
Embarrassing really!!

Fair dinkum they have been re-buliding for 5 years and have gotten absolutely no where. It's quite astounding.

It comes down to all of their draft blunders. They have had 3 great years for drafting but have wasted these picks on Zac Dawson, Duddy Franklin and Jordan Lewis.

Not to mention a coach that, well, can't actually coach.

Enjoy another stagnant season riddled with mediocrity guys.

Clarkson's a dud.

To think Hawthorn fans were comparing him to Terry only a few short days ago...and thinking Clarkson was superior!!!

The proof is in the performance, my friends...

Flogged by a team widely tipped for the spoon?
2 goals three quarters of footy?

Is this crisis time for the Hawks?

Nah just get more draft picks at season's end. It's great!

Hawthorn: giving a new meaning to the idea of tanking...instead of waiting until they're completely out of finals calculations...they're starting from Round 1.

Good positive signs for the Hawks :thumbsu:

Funny how Richmond fans are the ones who seem to mainly frequent these threads.

I really hope for their sake that they beat the incumbent wooden spooners tomorow. :)

At least we try to win. Last time i checked 9th is higher than 15th or 16th goose. Pathetic how the Dawks are relying on 30 top ten picks to become a good team.

GO TIGES!!!

How long have they been re-building again?

Continue to crap on about having the youngest list in the competition. But can they actually play football. On tonight's effort ... obviously not.

But you have to be fair, they were missing captain courageous!

Here, here. They will become good, but getting good by receiving a ridiculous amount of high picks is pretty much cheating and not in the spirit of the game. Very poor wees & poos.
