From Round 1 2024 Richmond, the start of the Yze era, Richmond has won 2/23. A winning strike rate of less than 10%. When will they climb to above 36%?

For those who aren't good at Maths, a Round 1 (or Opening Round stupid AFL) victory in a certain year doesn't put them at 100%. It is an accumulative measure from the start of the Yze era Rd 1 2024.

It's going to be a while. Maybe a win this year and the next, followed by most of their draft picks turning out worse than expected during Tassie's formative years.
This domino effect causes their tanking and rorting strategies to fail as they are denied access to top draft talent, further delaying any success.
I still have faith though and predict they will see that win percentage creep past 36 sometime after 2051.

That record is remarkably similar to Carltons win loss record v Richmond in finals, although Im sure that is not the only reason for your Tiger obsession.

So is it a bit like making Prelims year after year, methed up supporters thinking we could really kick on from here, while in reality only managing to win 10 flags in 125 years?
Nothing like that at all, no.
(And 8 wins next year is something you can only dream of)
It's the difference between a team that goes out and makes a game of it every single year, and a team now engaged in the worst, most disgraceful display of tankery the sport has ever witnessed.
You'll be making Werst Coast look honest.
Shame, I say!

2025 until 2050 (and then some) will have 18thmond looking back on 2024 with faint-hearted nostalgia. A 2-win season is a real achievement stacked up against the pain and suffering to come. "Oh well, there's always next century." Lap it up, Tugs.

Talk about rent free. Your life seems to revolve around your hatred of Richmond.
It was 7 years ago. Sure, you're still furious that you and many other Geelong supporters' pea hearted cowardice was exposed as you fled the G in tears, quicker than a Corey Enright 300s, and everybody laughed and laughed at you. You feel very humiliated and ashamed of yourselves. Completely understandable after an absolutely pathetic display like that. But get over it. It can't be good for you and your bitter fear and loathing just makes you look even more pathetic. If that's possible.

The simple reason that the the tax payer carries Geelong and that the CFL allows them to rort the salary cap is because more than 1 season in the wilderness, most Geelong supporters will abandon their club and go back to claiming they're life long Hawthorne supporters and the club will fold.
Geelong must be relatively successful every year for it to survive.

They begged for 300 plus million bucks from the Andrews government for that eyesore of ground they built then Dan the man Andrews high tailed it realizing he gave away money like it was lollipops to anyone and for anything which belongs to the Victorian taxpayers.

A concept the Tugs are totally unfamiliar with. In the meantime...

Good point. Geelong supporters would never rally around their club in a time of need. They'd hapily watch if fold before they lifted a finger, claiming they've always been Hawthorn supporters anyway. That's why the tax payer and the AFL have to carry you.

What's that, melty? You'll have to explain the concept to me because Geelong has never had one of those in living memory. 18thmond on the other hand...

Lol, melty coming from you.

Like most Geelong supporters, a Richmond loss is much, much more important to you that a Geelong win. Enjoy the next couple of years :) Our next dynasty and the first of our 5peat start in 2017 :thumbsu:

At Geelong we can have both and we do - regularly.

19thmond has a nice ring to it, don't you think melty?
