Carlton should have a better year next year they have enough talent to make the 8, especially if they get Cerra.

They just need an experienced coach to boost them with a decent game plan.

We've also had a huge drop off from our 3 best players from 2019. If one or more of them could turn it around it would do wonders for us too. But probably unlikely:

Charlie Curnow - Pre-injury was our highest ceiling player. Now probably McKay has overtaken him, but if he can get back to 80% of his best he's still a great 2nd tall option.

Docherty - Cancer. Twice. Knees. Twice. Can't blame Doch for the drop off, but it's unlikely he'll be the same player again.

Cripps - 2019 AFLPA MVP then injury after injury has made him into a shell of himself. If he can turn it around he changes the dynamic of our midfield instantly.

Edit: Probably outweighed by the emergence of McKay, Walsh and Weitering as A-graders.

I really hope we see Cripps back to his best next season, a midfield with him and Walsh firing would be great to watch

What a rabble. Just given Liddle the flick who was on their coach selection panel.

We sure are.
No idea why he was put on the coaching selection panel when he was on thin ice at best.
The external review was pretty savage on him.

Wouldn't mind betting Lloyd is next.

Isn’t Lloyd on the panel also?

Hahaha. Teague running player exit meetings the day before being sacked. Liddle on the coaching selection committee before being sacked. Honestly, what a clown show.

I know what will happen … they’ll appoint Clarko on a gazillion dollar deal and throw away the ‘process’, and in 2-years when they’re still crud because they could not afford any assistant coaches as they were paying Clarko $1.5m / season they’ll wonder where it all went wrong.

And they’ll realise like Blight at Saints and Malthouse at Carlton it was all about the ego and the money for the coach and the messiah complex for the club.

Did you guys not see sayers nodding his head whilst Liddle was speaking ?

He was backing Liddle all the way. Liddle is now the 'MAN' at Carlton
Sayers wont be there full time as he has too much on his plate and will be guided by Liddle

Aged well.

You can have your Richmond nuffie back.

Hopefully we can land Cook.

It’s not who they are firing. It’s the way they are doing it. Why fire him today, and get him to front media with Sayers in the last 2 weeks when the review was completed?

Just fire those they are going to fire at once.

Lloyd is probably next. But he will probably have to wait to hear in the media that Sayers has approached others for that role before he can ask for assurity on his future. That’s the way it’s gone so far with Teague and Liddle.

An extremely strange way to do things.
