I was born in 1983 and was too young to remember 87. I was 12 in 95. How long will I have to wait until I can experience the joy of a Carlton premiership again?

the earliest would be 2009

clubs generally have a 3-4 year window to win a premiership while they are at their peak, then the cycle starts again

IMO carlton will be at the top of its cycle between 2009-2013

Dont listen to this, its an absolute WORST case scenario. We will make the 8 this year and play off in the premiership either next year or 08.

Now we are talking.
With this kind of talk and up beat, I feel more like I have woken from the past three year nightmare. Think I'll spend more time on this board then some-where else.:thumbsu:

LOL

Continuing the positive attitude - it was only a practice match - and we are better off getting our bottoms flogged and coming into round one full of confidence and nothing to lose style footy.

All I want this season is the way we played late last year, when we bet Richmond and Collingwood. Even a couple of the games we lost late last season were good games by us to cheer on.

Re: Worry Signs Already

I have just signed onto Big Footy, so g'day to all.

I am very worried about Carlton's backline. I didn't see yesterdays game, but I did see last weeks game against Geelong and it seemed to continue from last year. We seem to drop our heads as soom as the opposition gets a couple of goals.

I am a member for the past five years since returning from Darwin. So what do you think?
