Over the last couple of weeks in threads covering Collingwood and Hawthon's upcoming change in apparel sponsorships there has been a bit of discussion as to where jumpers are currently manufactured.
Presently there are eight companies sponsoring AFL teams, which is split as follows:
West Coast - Puma
Fremantle - ISC
Adelaide - Reebok
Port Adelaide - Reebok
Brisbane - KooGa
Gold Coast - Reebok
Sydney - ISC
GWS - ISC
Geelong - ISC
Carlton - Nike
Collingwood - Adidas
North Melbourne - Blades
Melbourne - New Balance
Hawthorn - Puma
Richmond - KooGa
Bulldogs - KooGa
St Kilda - ISC
Essendon - Adidas
So the questions I have are:
where are the jumpers (not other items of apparel) made? Australia, China, Indonesia, etc?
Are player issue jumpers manufactured in a different location to the replicas?
I'll kick it off. Puma, Adidas and Nike have been have been providing AFL clubs with jumpers since the mid 90's, these three companies have always made both PI and replica jumpers made in Australia.
