List Mgmt. Where are they now? (ex suns)

Maybe I should check the AFL website once in a while, bit bleak when I get all of my footy news from Bay 13 and the GC Suns board.

The ruling should be based on whether you're deliberately being a s**t campaigner or not.
There was nothing in the mainstream media. I read your post and went looking hoping that flog copped a week!

What's the old saying, be careful what you wish for? The little weirdo getting embarrassed in front of 90,000 people...
He's showing his age tonight looks like he's stuck in quick sand.

Only the 9 disposals all uncontested at 44% efficiency 3 turnovers and gave away a free

At this stage the only thing I can be sure of, and even then I can’t make a definitive choice, but it appears to me that Mr Bods’ true identity is actually either Tom Tate himself or else he’s Keyser Soze. #freebods

I’m just giving you guys a bit of a break from me for a while
BUT
I must come out of exile for one post to say
Ha ha ha ha ha ha The Little Wierdo I hope it was all worth it to “play finals football” after all the family reasons BS to be a specialist in kicking it to the stooge standing on the mark Over and over again
And just in general sucked in Handbaggers Franchise we can only dream of a list like yours, in my opinion the best list in the game
BUT what did you do with the list????
Sneak into the 8 and be a pitiful embarrassment despatched out of the finals immediately.

I will now see myself out and return to exile until down the line.

PS thanks for all the kind sentiment lately
I’m still reading the forum and I’ll be back. But not yet.

Quality post from the grave Bodsy
Grublett set the tone of the Club from day1
Total disaster, then he walks out on us with a fistful of cash
You can't hep bad breeding

That was some performance by Melbourne, with more accurate kicking it would be 60+. I hope Suns can play one day the same brand of footy - hard contest, pressure. Ablett limping with tears was not bad look either.

Yeah I can’t picture us in a scenario like finals we’re so far away. Even 12-8 is hard to imagine.

It's always easy in hindsight but I'd now declare the Ablett experiment for Geelong was not the success they hoped. They couldn't of course see how Kelly would fit so well in to the team but also by bringing the Bald Headed Jesus back, they effectively diminished the development and mid field role of Mitch Duncan. Dangerfield also was shuffled around and was not the influence of last year. It was left to Selwood to shoulder the load and he did. Duncan was a shell of his past few years having to give ground and make way for Ablett (and Kelly). Might be worth a sneaky look at for the Suns if he feels a bit miffed. Mind you watching Ablett stumble around, getting slower by the week, he may give it away after missing out on his dream.

Will Ablett go around again next year? He certainly looked like a broken down old footballer last night, and I can’t see the Cats improving much next year given their best players are going to be another year older.

He said post match he couldn't wait to get back to the Club and start training for next year
The question is whether the Club can wait for him to get back to them ........
I hope he's not spending too much quality time away from the family

Maybe he should have a hard look at himself first :)

GEELONG champion Gary Ablett has challenged his Cats teammates to have a "good hard look" at themselves this summer in order to make up ground on the rest of the competition.

Speaking after Geelong exited the finals at the hands of Melbourne on Friday night, Ablett reiterated that he does believe the current Cats side is strong enough to challenge for a flag.

However, he laid down the marker for his teammates to have a strong pre-season in order to improve on the deficiencies that saw them slump to a 29-point defeat to the Demons.

"It comes from training drills well and improving in areas of our game," Ablett said.

"We need every individual to make sure that we're having a good hard look at ourselves and working on the areas where we need to improve.

"Clearly, at the moment and by the look of tonight, there are plenty of areas where we do need to improve."

Geelong has been one of the League's most aggressive sides at the NAB AFL Trade Period recently, with the club making a considered effort to extend its premiership window.

Despite the Cats losing their ninth finals match in 12 on Friday night, Ablett believes that flag success will remain on the agenda in season 2019.

"We've got the team to do it," Ablett said.

"(Chris Scott) touched on it in the meeting, there are just a lot of areas where we need to improve. We're going to work on that over the summer.

"But I believe we have the group to be able to win a premiership."

Having topped up its list with the addition of Ablett during last year's trade window, the Cats were once again unable to challenge deep into September after an eighth-place finish.

However, Ablett stopped short of labelling the club's lack of success in 2018 as a failure.

"I don't like to use that word," he said.

"I don't know what I really feel right now. There are mixed emotions obviously. You play footy to play in finals and ultimately to have a crack at the premiership.

"It was a tough loss tonight, I know how disappointed the boys all are. It's an opportunity that we haven't made the most of. But you can't take away anything from Melbourne.

"We need to go away, we need to look at the tape and make sure we're improving."

• The episode happened in the moments after the under-16 grand final between Southport Sharks and Palm Beach Currumbin.

• Lockett coached the Sharks under-12 team this year and both he and Ashcroft have sons who played in the losing Southport under-16 team

• A witness said tensions escalated when Lockett was yelling at some of the players from the side line.

• “Marcus asked him to stop and then Neil went up to him and hit him.”

• “Neil hit Marcus, put him in a head lock and through him to the ground. People had to jump in to separate them.
