Now that we likely have all our additions for 2018 the issue remains what positions WC will play them at EP. Nobody wants to see another Tom Lamb situation :( Whilst not at AFL level where does everyone want to see them play?

For mine (I don't know a lot about our non-eagles at EP so this may throw off team balance):

Brander - Full Forward. We need a new Kennedy. Has been thrown back this season by his coaches but was in pick 1 discussion as a KPF. IMO it's more useful to develop as a forward against big WAFL defenders and move back when necessary.

Allen - Midfielder/High HF. May not work but based on our needs and lack of big mids worth the risk. Would be good to develop his skills at stoppages in the slower pace of the WAFL.

Ryan - Forward obviously, should hopefully be playing AFL early. Defensive pressure/tackling you'd think would be a better focus in the WAFL than goals for him.

Ainsworth - Inside Mid. Top clearance player at the carnival needs to be in there learning how to do it against bigger bodies week in week out. If that's in the reserves so be it, no point sticking him on a flank hoping he develops into an inside bull.

Pettruccelle - Wing/HFF. HFF is perhaps the hardest position to do well in in footy so would be a good place to pick up footy smarts. Would be a good Cripps replacement as our guy that gets out the back.

Brayshaw - Same deal as Ainsworth but would be good to give him stints as a Dangerfield/Ziebell style forward, see what he can do there.

Burrows - HFF. After years of using the HFF for mids it sounds like we finally have a specialist HFF. Likely to stay at reserves level for a while you'd think but if he can nail down the spot at league level keeps Mutimer and co in the guts

Olango - Ruck. Hopefully with Jones gone to Freo he can start to push for a spot in the senior team at some point..

England - Wing. No point anywhere else.

And finally would like to see McInnes played down back. Not natural enough a player to be a good forward and not tall enough to ruck beyond pinch-hitting but plays to structures well, could be alright down back and leaves the forward line open for Brander and Allen.

Basically exactly what I think but I'm not sure about Petrol. Would actually try develop him as a wingman/outside mid first and foremost. Could be devastating with his marking ability and aggressive running toward goals.
