Hi all - just a question that's been on my mind since chatting to a workmate - a top bloke 'cos he's a blueboy. He reckons that Kouta should be played this year at Centre Half Back, as he can run in "straight lines" in that position and therefore is in less danger of injury.

Assuming no injuries, I'm assuming that Whitnall will be at centre half forward and Corey at Full Forward, so what do you reckon, should Kouta be there, or in the centre / wing?

I think that Kouta should play down back until he reaches 'full' fitness, then maybe move down forward or into the midfield, or even stay down back helping out the fragile defence

No Thrawn, haven't missed much at all.

I would like to see Kouta eased into things resting on the forward line perhaps, then a stint running straight lines out of the defensive 50 and then full swing in the midfield kitchen. With confidence nothing will go pass him in the centre of the ground! Here's hoping .....

That sounds pretty good, especially the nothing getting past him bit.....

Saw some practice match drills at OO last night. Fwd line was Houlihan, McKernan and Fevola (matched by Kouta) and HF line of Beaumont, Whitnall and Lappin (Livingston on Red).
Backs at other end were Manton, Martyn and McKay.
French and unknown rucked with Allan on sidelines until running session.

Given Pagan likes to "train as you play", seems that most Blue fans are spot on about early season moves.
