Traditionally the Dockers have lacked a strong forward particularly CHF and when you look at clubs with champion CHF's they do well (eg. Roos and Carey). Pavlich has the build and skill to play there but for the second half of the season Drum played him in the backline. Where do you think he should play?

I reckon he is the best young talent you have there at Freo. Throw the kid into the deep end and play him at CHF, what have you got to lose? Absolutely nothing.

cheers

Drum has no intention of playing Pavlich at center half back.

Drum put him back there to teach him acountablity and other skills.

Give him a few years he will be at center half forward, turning games on his own boot and becoming dominant.

Um yeah he would be in our top 3 best young talent.

Along with Haselby and Justin Longmuir

He should play for the Eagles

Dont see the qualities that others do in Pavilich. To me he is slow, poor when the balls on the ground and looks overweight.

I do think the two that look outstanding prospects are Longmuir and in particular, Brown. Either of them would be worth trying (imho) to groom for a long term CHF instead of Pavlich.

Personally, i'd use him as a tall defender for most of next season. Putting him at CHF would ensure every week there is someone trying to knock his block off, at least in the backline, your opponent is more often than not actually going for the ball as well, i.e not trying to spoil every time you go for a mark. Until he improves his marking skills (not saying they're bad now, but he's still a kid) there's not a whole lot of point throwing him in the deep end at CHF, because i'd be surprised if he had much impact. If you want a big gaping hole at CHF, you may as well put that big goat Fewster there.

He dominated the local league in south Australia, that alone stand for itself.
He not the quickest player, but he's not slow.
He played on Port young star Tredera and absolutely dominated him.Now to be able to do that you need some pace.

He is only 19 and can take a mark with the best of them.Plus he is a accurate kick.
The best half forward Prospect in the league at the moment.

I think justin longmuir at the moment is grossly underated. And Brown will become an excellent backman. But brown simply isn't in the same league as the Haselby,Longmuir and Pavlich trio.

Fewster is a lug.He drops chest marks and isn't accountable

sabre, i wasnt saying he cant play, just i dont ever think he is going to be a topliner. See i think he is slow, thats his main drawback. I do agree with you on Longmuir, very exciting talent that bloke. But Brown to me looks the one, very smart looking player, good mover, and most important seems to be a footballer first, athlete second.

Cheers.
