Trouble with this analysis is it is all swayed one way. E.g Lets assume Jesse White suddenly kicks about 50% more goals than he manages normally and let's assume Reids sample size is too small and his swings in form will go negative not positive
Using the same two players what if we assume Jesse has probably already played his best footy and goes backwards further next year and only gets 15 goals. Let's assume Reid grows into the forward role he has only so far had a short go at and actually improves his goal/game rate and kicks 60/year. Suddenly it's 45goals more per year and a big difference. Both assumptions are really pretty meaningless. White and Reids form in 2015 are not necessarily so strongly linked. Having Reid forward could conceivably see a spike in Whites performance as he is under less pressure. What about the senario where Reid kicks 55 and White 30.
My real point is I see the Cloke / Reid/ White (or Grundy/Witts) plus Brown/ Keeffe/ Frost combos having real merit. In particular I see our KPBs as a rapidly improving group who will build a lot on their 2014 performance and leave Reid free to be a dangerous forward.
This argument really turns a lot on how you see our KPBs apart from Reid as players . I have confidence in them.
And there is every chance that the bolded comes to fruition. However, given what we have seen I just feel at this point that there is a substantial lack of experience down there, which really showed after Maxwells injury around the midway point of the year. I'd feel a lot more comfortable with a bonafide A grader down there helping out a young but potentially very effective backline.
Time will tell though
