I know we’re all a bit shattered, but would have thought this thread is a little bit premature.
Ive followed the club since the 70’s and can’t believe our own fans are bringing up f*n hand******s…. Leave it out! Also couldn’t give a toss about anyone’s NBA or NFL clubs. We are Geelong and we’re one on the oldest professional sporting clubs in the world. We’ve turned ourselves into a great club! United board and football department, well coached etc and performing well on the field every year.
What will stop making this club great is splintering. Yes this may generally start at the board level, but it’s often led by disgruntled fans.
So please to all disgruntled fans, go and hit a punching bag until you’re spent and then look forward to another final this week. We’re still alive.
We have some generational players, who the club have rightly backed in to win a flag with, whilst at the same time develop ed some youth. If it doesn’t work this year, tough calls will be made.
It’s up to our experienced midfielders this week, perform or they’ll be gone or supporting youth and playing out their careers from here.
Two points:
1. One player’s performance doesn’t speak to the cohesion of the 22.
2. This was Duncan’s heat map on Friday night:

Take away his 14 kick ins and Duncan had 19 disposals on Friday night.

That in itself is a worry. Some of these posts have surely been cut and paste from October 2020 or even September 2019.
No offence, but that is total b.s. Criticism isn't 'disunity', and there are plenty of signs that Geelong post 2011 has become too insular and immune to criticism for its own good. This is a club that turned things around by having a whole club review and player honesty sessions where people's bullshit was called out. As a fan and member it's both my right and responsibility to call a spade a spade and demand better when the club underperforms.I know we’re all a bit shattered, but would have thought this thread is a little bit premature.

Except he didn't take 14 kick ins.
Smith took 4
Rohan took 3
Hendo took 2.
So take away the 5 kicks ins he actually took and and he still got 28 disposals. Far and away our highest disposal gatherer.
Now you can argue all you like that he spent too much time in the back half, but why deliberately make up stats to support your argument?
Take away his 14 kick-ins and he still had 19 touches with 10 kicks and 13 marks playing a defensive role.
Most marks on the ground by far, with Henry, who we all raved about, having 9.
I know your post is a bit tongue in cheek but I think this has some merit to it.
No current season stats available
that some of our posters are parrots who cant independently analyse and think? That in itself is a worry.
How dare anyone critisize your god right? Finals failures = successdo people not think there is an element of emotional sulks and dramatic theatre to post a thread titled " where to from here?" when we are still contending in the finals?
i get that its just an emotional sewerage about chris scott, but even then its quite off the mark
Odd thing to say from someone who does nothing but parrot this club is perfect and never does anything wrong. Ever.that some of our posters are parrots who cant independently analyse and think?

"Disunity is death" is the catch call of those who have a vested interest in not being challenged.
I don't think anyone would be here discussing any of this if the team had played out of their skins to a good attacking gameplan and just fallen short on Friday, by the way...
PS if you aren't fired up and critical after a very good team has lost 8 out of 9 first finals since 2011 then I'm not sure what you want from your footy club. Continued failure?
No. That the same stuff keeps happening repeatedly...that some of our posters are parrots who cant independently analyse and think?
That some of us continuously see the issues year in year outthat some of our posters are parrots who cant independently analyse and think?
There’s no certainty that either strategy will work, I think what we all want is some sort of change either way with the game plan and playing list …I could swallow a final loss is we were playing aggressively and the players looked liked they cared enough to show some intensely with their finals performances rather than jogging around and playing defensively kicking around the backline for 10 mins before doing anythingI would like to see a poll do you want to keep making finals and fall short or go down for 2 years and regenerate
But our game plan of kicking backwards and sideways, and ending up being hemmed in on their goal line works so well. Doesn’t put our defenders under unnecessary pressure at all. Giving up territory is a masterstroke. Only haters would disagree. There’s no certainty that either strategy will work, I think what we all want is some sort of change either way with the game plan and playing list …I could swallow a final loss is we were playing aggressively and the players looked liked they cared enough to show some intensely with their finals performances rather than jogging around and playing defensively kicking around the backline for 10 mins before doing anything

There really is no point reading any of your posts cause they are all this club can do no wrong, how dare anyone say otherwise.
Do you think future direction is important? Or are continual finals loses acceptable, and that we should not strive to go better and actually win some?
I swear you must be chris scotts mum.

For me it’s from 2014.Some of these posts have surely been cut and paste from October 2020 or even September 2019.
We need Sav to stay in the stands. We can't be any taller forward. We need SAV In, we needed an additional tall against Port Adelaide, could have gone to Aliir
Yawn.we’re making a grand final again and playing Richmond??
