Said before, even if Ken goes do we trust this board to hire the right coach regardless?

We could do that, but the records will only keep growing until the end of 2025 (or later). This needs to be printed en-masse in A1 sticker format and stuck all over town...
Which competition for you? I'm certainly looking forward to enjoying the NBA, EPL and UCL til Ken is gone that's for sure.Enjoy the competition as a neutral for the next 18 months and re-engage when the dead weights have finally been lifted.
Can’t say I do, the longer Josh Carr spends as Ken’s understudy, the less confident I feel about his abilities as a coach.Said before, even if Ken goes do we trust this board to hire the right coach regardless?

Yeah I don't get this at all. Maybe because I don't go to games live its different.I’ve had several last straws over the years, but something about last night just felt… different? Never have I felt that exact mix of rage (from capitulating in a big game, the showdown) and apathy (from seeing it again after so many times). I’ll Probably look back on last night as the day I transitioned from being a disgruntled supporter to an outright hater, someone who despises the coaching staff, the administration, and segments of the playing group with every fibre of my being.
I generally don’t go to many of our games either, just Gather Round and a couple in Melbourne. Been to three so far (Essendon, Richmond, Collingwood) and will likely not go to any more this year because I’m busy with VFL and local footy. But of all our losses, that one was embarrassing. Just because we knew we’d lose coming into it doesn’t mean we didn’t lose a team that frankly isn’t as good as us. Or maybe they are better than us, I don’t know. We’ll keep papering over the cracks and losing big games against good teams because they’re better than us, but losing a Showdown in that fashion to that Adelaide team is sickening.Yeah I don't get this at all. Maybe because I don't go to games live its different.
For me this isn't even close to being our worst loss in the last fortnight.
That creed is no longer relevant apparently!A strong club gets rid of their no hopers.
We will blame injuries and say we are still learning after 11 years.
Fake PAFC.
No.Said before, even if Ken goes do we trust this board to hire the right coach regardless?
At this stage, I don't care. Anything is better than the current train wreck, even a new train wreck.Said before, even if Ken goes do we trust this board to hire the right coach regardless?

I hope my post doesn’t read as if I’d been on board with Ken until recently. I just hadn’t quite evolved to the level of apathy that I’m at now. I could still get pissed off about how we played until a few weeks ago. Even going back a year I wouldn’t have been able to fathom being so unfazed by a showdown loss in that fashion, but they’ve managed to destroy my love for something that was previously so integral to the fabric of my personality.Welcome to 9 months ago
The problem with this is while I genuinely enjoy watching any footy the last few years of us have done their hardest to kill it for me. I can't get excited to watch another team that was horrendous go past us to lift another premiership cup. Its painful.Enjoy the competition as a neutral for the next 18 months and re-engage when the dead weights have finally been lifted.
Some games are entertaining, although admittedly there are fewer these days. Wouldn't be unhappy about GWS winning, love the way Kingsley has them fired up. Toby Greene has long been my favourite non-port player. The problem with this is while I genuinely enjoy watching any footy the last few years of us have done their hardest to kill it for me. Sadly I can't put together the funds to go meet you back at the Lego Thread as a weekend hobby every week so I'm fairly stuck
One thing he is genuinely elite at is consistently and unerringly beating up on the bottom sides (except the Crows). We, and you especially, talk about his record against Gold Coast, St Kilda, North Melbourne inflating that win percentage, but other coaches get to play those teams too. Clarkson, Hardwick, Scott, McRae, none of them get their teams pumping the cellar dwellers with monotonous regularity like Kenneth does. In his 12 seasons at the club, the Hawthorn loss in the Russell Ebert tribute game is literally the only loss of its kind we've suffered.• 10-12 in Showdowns
• 32-31 in Adelaide Oval night games
• 0-6 vs Geelong outside SA
• 0-3 in Prelims
• 5-7 in finals
• 1-4 in knockout finals at AO
• 34-3 vs GC/StK/NM
His win% is an absolute mirage, artificially boosted by a mountain of soft kills against lower-tier clubs.
He’s a mediocre coach carried by the sheer weight of talent he’s enjoyed but never probably harnessed.
In 2017 Port was fighting to finish in the Top four. Round 20 against Crows 130 to 46 in the rain. They made us look like a bottom sanfl club that night. That was the last time I really thought Ken was the man. It should have been a close tussle between two clubs challenging for the premiership. But instead it was one way street all night. We find Koch’s house and protest outside or Hinkleys idc which one
But I said after the Collingwood game, they broke us or whatever positive energy we had going into the season. I thought we would go on a losing streak after the game but we managed to beat saints barely.
I went last night because it was Thursday night.
Remember when we got Ken? We were suffering such an inferiority complex he was the best we could getAt this stage, I don't care. Anything is better than the current train wreck, even a new train wreck.
I took my learner driver daughter for lesson during the game as I knew the outcome halfway through the first quarter.I checked the scores at around qtr time and half time (everything going according to plans by then) and then I forgot about it until I woke up this morning and checked it for tipping purposes. I was pretty happy to see that most suckers in my work comp tipped Port and I tipped the crows (one of the easiest games to tip tbh). So, glad I am equal top of the footy tipping comp 2 points clear of 3rd.
That's how much this game has affected me. I used to not be able to sleep after a loss to the crows. I think I like this better, thanks Kock and Ken for making my life less stressful.
