Where's Aisake at?

I found this article, well I didn't find it I stole it from some fella on a Munster rugby site where they're talking about the thought of the 2 lads coming home, according to them and they're sources they've failed, and they're wondering if they could play rugby with Munster, the general thought is give it a lash but probably not, but a few would love to see them back with Na Piarsigh, and with Cork.

The guy who found it, said it's killing him, thinking about how it could have been if Santy, and Aisake stayed. To be honest after reading this, I'm not far behind him. Time heals all wounds apparently but, that was like taking one big massive step back in time. I'd forgotten how much it pained me to think about it and how good he (Santy) was and how good Aisake could have been.

I'd personally like to see him given another year, even if that means drafting him back as a rookie.

Not necessary. He was elevated onto the senior list for this year, and I;m fairly certain he was given a two year deal.

I think it is unlikely he would just be delisted at then end of this season, unless he decided he really wanted to go home.

I just find it a bit hard to see a position for him in the team now.

Rucks - Kreuzer, Hampson, Cloke (R/fwd)
Defenders - Austin and Bower to come back in with Thornton (could push up to a wing), Jamison, Waite, Setanta.

Haven't seen him played as a forward, but its one area I think you need to have a very good fell for the game to trick your opponent and out manouvre him.

Skills aren't up to being an onballer/winger as was mooted.

Just not sure where he fits in?

Yeah, that's a beauty. Like ten or more teams would pass on Fev.

Like you say, Setanta has already made it. Interesting that Aisake is on a 2 year contract. Do you automatically get two years when you come off the rookie list? I know National Draftees do. If he has another year on his contract then it's highly unlikely he'll go.

ill tell you what hes done: hes played a very important role for us in defence in the absence of bower (and jamison for a few games) and he has done well.

also last year he played in the ruck due to injuries and he did a commendable job.
he has also played in the fwd line when we've needed him to and predominately played some important key defensive roles for us.
true he hasnt been amazing but he has been very serviceable and i believe he deserves a spot in the 22.
as for aisake- yes he has done nothing and therefore he should be sent home but setanta is a different story.

Aisake should be on a plane back to Ireland at the end of the year, a bit disapointing but Carlos has been good and will be a good squad player over the next few seasons.

all the things that you mentioned is what he had done last year when we were clearly no good.
he is not in our best 22 players & never will be, and we will never become a threat if we hold on to players like setanta.
you need to churn players over untill you end up with a quality list.
he is finished at carlton if not this year certainly next.

well i believe setanta being left out of the team against the saints left a massive hole in our defence.
if you knew anything about footy youd realise that he is a decent defender and that he is worth holding onto and not just getting rid of.

if you really think setanta would of been able to handle reiwoldt or kosi you my friend are mistaken these 2 players are class, setanta would not of been able to nulify either of them. he wouldnt of made any diffrence to the result
