as Ricky Mott is a ruckman and a ruckman soley, why the hell am i watching Ian Prendegast leaping around like a flying Wallenda in the middle. How can any of our midfielders expect to gain possession of the ball with this "competetive, ungainly" bloke in the middle.
You surely can't tell me that long term Prendegast is the No. 2. Even De Luca is rucking below him.

I second Sheik's question and I put this to you:

What did Prenda do wrong last night? The boy has finally found a real role for himself in the team as a midfield machine and he has hit some straps. He is a good backup ruckman and DeLuca showed he is an excellent tap ruckman last night, I saw several instances in which we got clean, quick centre breaks. Why would you play an underdone Mott against a side like Brisbane? That's just madness.

Cos 50 hitouts to 25 is a pure massacre.

I know Prenda has a big heart, runs a lot blah, blah, blah.

It takes a specific skill and nous to work the centre square/boundary ball ins.

Our history is built on dominating/champion ruckmen (no need to name them).

It's terrific Prendegast tries hard, lots of players do, but to compete against these guys in "the modern game" requires set plays, i mean get fair dinkum here, you think Stevens, Johnson, Campo, Hulme and the like, train for set drills with Prendegast as the dominating ruckman.

Don't kid yourself.

There is a place for him, but it isn't as a starting ruckman.

I said second ruckman.

SECOND.

Get it? Good.

Now - as a second ruckman, Prenda will do a job on mobile ruckman at the stoppages, he needs to be given time to develop his tapwork, something he has never been allowed to do. Deluca has barely done any centre bounce work and Charman has been rucking for a sensational midfield just about on his own for the year.

Of course we were going to get smashed, but don't blame Prenda or Deluca - blame Pagan for continually using French when he has been out of sorts.

I would also like to know what a, ' flying Wallenda', is?

The science of language, including phonetics, phonemics, morphology and syntax, surely created the words, ' flying Wallenda' to describe, "...any person with the surname Prendergast or any individual with toiling, Prendergastion similarities."

Seeing as I thought that was one of the best pi$$takes that I'd read in a while, I did a Google search on 'wallenda' and my eyes nearly popped out of my head at what I found :
