Sceptical climate researcher won't divulge key program

A physicist whose work is often highlighted by climate-change sceptics is refusing to provide the software he used to other climate researchers attempting to replicate his results.

He should too if he expects his work to be taken seriously by the science community.

But on another point, why does New Scientist feel the need to label him a "Sceptic"? Why don't they just say "Climate scientist doesn't release code"?

This just smacks of NS saying "look they don't either". No they haven't taken any sides have they.

Because he is sceptical, Scarfetta is an example of a true sceptic, not a denier. All of a sudden a self-professed sceptic is thinks that calling a scientist a sceptic is derogatory? And of course they've taken a side, they've taken the side of science.

Scandal of the century, but it is comforting to know that AGW has now been vindicated and proven beyond a doubt due to one (potentially shady) circumstance.

Exactly! The whole house of cards that is solar/cosmic rays theory has just tumbled down with a deafening crash! It definitively proves that Scarfetta is a liar and a fraud who should be prosecuted and hanged, along with all the other criminal proponents of solar/cosmic ray theory. This even proves that the cloud cover proponents like Linzden are lying frauds too!!!! ZOMG, I think I'm about to ejaculate!!!
