Something out of left field and a chance for those to get their minds off trade week.

Who do you think has been better for the CFC? Swan or Rocca? Who would you rather have at their best?

I know ones a midfielder and anothers a forward, but since Fev is such a hot topic, I wonder which way people will go with this.

As good as Swan is, Rocca for me.

Swan is yet to perform in a Grand Final (hasn't had the chance yet) like Rocca did in 02.

At the moment I'd take Rocca, in a few years, maybe Swan.

I think he means Saverio Rocca... not Pebs

Wrong Rocca, Matty. You're thinking of #23.

Oh Saverio, easy, that changes everything, Dane Swan by a mile.

To my knowledge I have never swore at Swanny during a game, yet I have never heard so many people swear at once then when Sav missed 4 shots at goal in the last quarter of an Essendon v Collingwood match in the late 90's.

While Saverio was good for us, he was no where near as valuable as Swan.

Doesn't that stir the imagination anubis?

Rene Kink would have chewed both Swan & Rocca put together in his day.

Sav was way better than Anthony. More consistent across the board. A better mark, a better kick, way more goals (although he did play a little closer to goal). Probably the last great KPF we had. I wouldn't base his career on 4 missed shots on goal in a quarter.

So Sav by a mile. Swan does have the next 5 or so years to change my opinion however.

At this very moment I would still say Sav. Gotta remember he kicked 90 odd goals in a pretty average team back in '95. Swan is a star and will continue to grow but at this very moment would take Sav's best.

Both at their best, I would pick Sav.

Like someone said Swanny has time to change my mind. Sav was just an animal and could win a game off his own boot for us.

This. :thumbsu: Hence, why he was my favourite player throughout the 90s. Ow, how useful he would've been in those Grand Final years. Why did MM get rid of him again?

he was the ultimate forward. he was a mixture of Fev X Buddy X J.Brown X wolverine :D

Definitely Sav, he was my hero as a kid. It was clear that the Pies fans still had enormous respect for him during his last game in 2006. I was at the match and he was applauded by North and Collingwood fans and players as he left the ground.

And who can forget this classic grab in the first ANZAC Day match?

He kicked 9 goals in that match as well!

Damn, I wish he stayed at Collingwood!

Why's that?
Rocca had many a shit player kicking too him, rocca dropped one mark dragged then repeat

Rocca did become more unfit and disinterested, but if i was getting dragged every 10 minutes and had a rubbish middle kicking too me id ben disinterested too
