According to Pert in a pre-match interview on SEN before the Saints match he is a member of the list management team. Amazingly I believe it's a somewhat common practice given comments from Jon Ralph earlier this year about the composition of list management teams in general.

I'd personally have no issue with the list management team briefing the CEO at certain times because it could create further accountability, but to have an administrator actively involved in Footy matters is bonkers.
Would you believe me if i told you he often inserts himself into the selection committee also !! He approached players , especially the leaders, after a couple of successive losses and gives them instruction. He walks , uninvited, into coaches meetings and tells them how to coach and into players meetings and tells them how to play. This guy is a narcissist and cannot see the damage he creates as he truly believes his opinion is the gospel. He would sit well at Trumpy's dinner table.

Given the recent results Neil's position is untenable imo. I want security escorting him out of holder centre asap lest he take any boot ip with him
So we get rid of him, then what?
There are only a few boot studders coming out of contract this year and they are either past it or injury prone.
Sure Neil may not be the best, we know sometimes he forgets to tighten a stud and has a habit of handing Adams two left boots etc but I think until a better option becomes available we have to hold on to him.

Then we should make a serious play for Mr Price.
He could do the same job as Neil, at same cost, get same everything but we'd finally move out our true protagonist in Neil.

I'd find it hard to believe that it's all true, however it wouldn't shock me especially when we consider why Walsh left initially. The problem I have is that he is definitely too involved and despite that he either hasn't been told to pull his head in or if he has and the behaviour persists the board are too weak to act on it.

Only way you get him is if you offer a 4 year 2 million deal.
Not sure he is worth it but I heard Gubby is keen.

Gubby is willing to throw Pert in to get the deal done

Couldn't the club just hire Price and get Neil to handover after a short apprenticeship?
Yep, they could talk to themselves and work out a transition and timetable

That's not a bad idea.
Not sure if Neil would be happy with the arrangement, maybe we could contract him to stay on after the handover in a mentoring type role.
Could work.

That's the crux of it.
Neil must mentor Price.
Price gets the IQ from Neil,
Then takes over as if nothing was ever changed.
Perfect

Would probably defect to the opposition with a different boot sponsor in protest
And take the other one with him

We'd be left bare footed

This story has been around for a while and makes me physically sick. It goes back to his day as an assistant coach and that some of the board members really rate him, so journo's are joining the dots that he wants out of North.

I want change, but not this bloke or Voss either

Gubby not welcome back after the Mayne debacle.

Clean the whole lot out that includes Pert.... And possibly Ed as well.
Ed first then Mr Pert.

Ed done many good things, but seriously, is there only one human being on earth that can be the figure head for our club?

Thanks Ed, been terrific but it's time.

We need to introduce proper governance and stop hiring "names" and mates of Ed. Ed is not Collingwood.

Gubby also had the Whitfield scandal and questions over the Treloar deal .

The last thing we need is yet more media scrutiny. Gubby seems to attract this sort of attention.

We should be the biggest club in the land attracting the best candidates who can be assessed professionally and with regard to credentials by an appropriately qualified assessment panel. This applies to roles on the Board , in the administration and football department.

The Board needs to be accountable for the poor decision made on the handover (especially those Board members who were there at the time! and the fact that no one seems to own the Mayne deal (how can accountability be unclear?) (a debacle ) and drop in membership and attendance (not to mention the despondency of supporters). A lot of our members do not have much in the way of disposable income and there seems to be no regard to this. It is arrogant to assume that one man should stay in role over such a decline in performance. This applies to the President, the CEO and the coach.

They are current guardians of our beloved club and ultimately members' money. They all need to be man enough to call it a day and allow new and fresh leadership across all of our club.

The players need to feel there is a future now.

How quickly they turn.

If either Ed/Pert/Walsh go about selecting Brad Scott as the next head coach, their needs to be a challenge of the board.

That would be one of the most deplorable coaching appointments in football history.

How about someone outside the club, and go through due dilligence while you're at it the way Carlton have.
