I voted Richmond just for the OP. Massive support in the real heartland of footy, playing at the real home of footy, getting it done on the only ground that matters, a club with a long and proud tradition and envied by plastic franchises all over the country.

Also their players really care for each other in a physical way.

I've heard the theory that is the Big Melbourne Clubs that have been the most adversely effected by the Covid Crisis.

These big Vic Clubs get huge revenues from the AFL Endorsed and Promoted Spankbusters at the MCG where they get significant financial up lift from the Gate. These have not occured this year. No Crowds have hurt their bottom line badly.

Which club will be the first to announce their 2020 result with the usual PR piece not the dollars?
The usual noise around membership numbers is deafening ....

The way Covid is playing out, season 2021 will NOT BE like 2019.

Clubs that heavily rely on Pokie on Fitness venues for their income streams, particularly in Victoria will also be the worst effected.

West Coast, financially will be enormously in front of everybody this year you'd think.

Its fortunate some well run clubs can cover the heavily reduced income from games. Thank god the tigers now are not the tigers from 15 years ago, we would be living off the AFL hand outs still. As it stands we can cover the cost of covid fairly easily tho not ideal, we will again announce soon another year of 100k members.

Clubs that can host games will financially benefit in the short term but the funny part about that, outside WC. Port, GC and Lions are all nonviable alone and need the AFL $$ to survive. A lot of that AFL money is off the back of the melbourne clubs, so instead of being smug, just say thank you and go about your day.
