I voted for Harvey, because personally I think he has the brains, knowledge and experience to take the job. The media is really exageratting the Worsfold situation as I think the club would try to go for someone more experienced. It's all very well to say he will bring back passion but that is not necessarily the case. I think Woosha needs to be an assistant coach for longer before he takes on a senior role. A more experienced assistant coach or a senior coach would be my choice.

Woosha is the guy. No chance of him getting homesick and going back to Vic like MM.

I heard today that Woosha and Suma are great mates and talk on the blower twice a week...........so mark Suma down for one assistant coach.

ps GO ROYALS........Haynes was brilliant.

MM used the homesick story to cover his ass. Facts is, he realised the eagles list was becoming increasingly poor while the pies list had lots of potential. He moved to spare himself getting the sack.

After living in WA for 10yrs, there is no way he could still call Victoria home. Further evidence that that story is a load of crap is the fact that he left 2 daughters behind in WA, wouldn't you consider home where your family is?

On the coaches, my preference are
1)Connelly(tactical genius...apparently)
2)Malaxos(achieved a bit as a coach in ACT)
3)Woosha(obvious reasons)
4)Harvey(has experience with success)

Just a quesiton, is there any possiblity of co-coaches. I dont think this has ever been tried, and maybe we could see if we can make it work with two new young coaches (Harvey and Worsfold).

Just a suggestion, dont know how it would go though.

I'm sure MM went back to Victoria for a number of reasons, but undoubtedly one element was that he wanted to be closer to his elderly parents. His Dad is partially disabled and I know that was preying on his mind.

There's also a natural cycle to these things and (except for Sheedy) no coach stays that long nowadays. Arguably MM stayed too long and played injured older players when he should have been starting to play younger fitter players. But we've all got degrees in hindsight!
